TOKYO — Seven diners in northern Japan fell ill and three remained hospitalized Tuesday after eating blowfish testicles prepared in a restaurant not authorized to serve the poisonous delicacy.

I guess just because you can eat it, doesn't mean you should.

From what I understand a goodly part of the "charm" of eating those things is the fact that if it's not prepared correctly you can get poisoned. A flirting with death issue I suspect.

For those interested, you have to prepare these guys correctly...you pretty much want a very experienced chef on preparing this for you.

I see no need to ever try them though...
