Waht do you want from you lover for Valentines Day

I want to hear from you all as to what you're doing for Valentine's Day.

It might give people new ideas who are stumped or for those who are trying to impress a new lover.

My long standing girl friend and I have, been there done that, but last year we took a cruise to the Caribbean.
It was the best and we'll probably never get the chance to do it again, but it was well worth the $$$

This year it will be dinner and a movie, most likely.

Oh dear you made me think about that... I might have someone to buy something for this val's day --- but I really don't know where we are, she has a 6 mth baby... Her choice, I could get her a rose. Who made women such a pain in the posterior?

I want something, the best gift of all..........

I want a whole morning of anticipation.
In the afternoon, some temptation would be nice, and a little teasing.
After a nice early dinner, I want some wild fun.

This year, me and my bestfriend are celebrating it as "Singles Awareness Day". A term we coined in high-school when neither of us had boyfriends.

We're road-tripping to Victoria to visit a few of our other friends, one who is celebrating a birthday, and we're going to have a blast partying it up with old friends we haven't seen in a few years.

Should be fun.

In the event that that doesn't pan out, there's always a box of Lindtt Chocolates and Grey's Anatomy.

Sure. Its simple really. My best friend and I are single this year, neither of us have boyfriends. This year we decided rather then hanging out alone, we're going to hang out together.

My boy friend and I are in our early 60's and both retired. But we stay very busy with our separate hobbies We do manage to have our evening meals together but after the dishes are done we both log on to our computers and don't see much of each other until bedtime which could easily be 2 in the morning on a slow night.

This year we are going to order Chinese for dinner and sit on the couch together and watch a movie to celebrate Valentines day. From there on the possibilities are endless.

I see, I think what I did was read best friend as boyfriend... Not that's it's a problem for boys to like other boys of course!

Me and my wife decided a long time ago that Valentine's day is only one day and we intend on loving and giving the whole year. So Valentine's Day will be no different for us. Just another day, just another compromise, just another night of lying beside my beautiful wife and knowing I'm loved.

It's a good question... a nice dinner at home with the wife and some evening fun would be cool by me...

A good dinner and curling up on the couch with a movie is perfect for me.

Not one for boxes of candy (hate chocolate), flowers (they just wilt before your eyes), balloons (they deflate), etc. Memories are so much better.

V-Day has always given the impression of something along the lines you will be romantic.... *wait for it....* .....*wait for it....* NOW.

It's pretty silly. So a dinner and movie works just fine. It's time together without the meaningless goodies.

I would like him to remember my name.

On Valentine's day I always expect a birthday cake and birthday presents - Yep, my birthday is on Valentine's day.

My husband wanted to get married on Valentine's day so he would only have 1 major date to remember but I wouldn't go for that at all so we married on January 29th (tomorrow is our 16th anniversary) ....

Oh, back to Valentine's day ..... typically on a night close to Valentine's day (I like to keep that day as just my b-day) I'll cook a nice candle light dinner and we'll just spend some time together, maybe catch a movie and if there are gifts involved it's low-key. I don't think we really need Valentine's day if you continually show your love for your significant other throughout the year. To me it just means so much more to recieve a little gift or flowers on no special day at all rather than it being done on a day when he feels obligated to.
