Defence chiefs ordered RAF pilots to 'shoot down UFOs'
The RAF has tried to shoot down UFOs under instructions by the Ministry of Defence, a former employee has revealed.
Pilots have took aim at Unidentified Flying Objects several times but failed to bring them down, Nick Pope claimed.
Mr Pope, who worked on the MoD's UFO section for three years, said the 'shoot down' directive had been in place since the 1980s.
The MoD has refused to comment on Mr Pope's claims or the existence of any UFO-related directives.

This makes me chuckle.
I saw a report recently about Unidentified craft in the skies over the UK, and the MoD stated that they only investigate if there is deemed to be a threat.
Well, I would have thought that for an organization charged with protecting the skies of our nation, anything flying in it without being identified is a threat!
Lets see...
1. There are witnesses.
2. It's big enough to cause considerable damage if it crashed.
3. It's not one of ours.
4. It has lights of some kind, therefore power.
5. It moves as if controlled intelligently.
Yeah, I'd say those are all signs of a threat.
If the MoD were not so stupid in their denials I'd have a little respect for them. The fact that they expect people to believe what they say on this matter is actually quite insulting.
