I also think this is absolutely shameful.
They wouldn't be taking sides in an effort to increase donations to help the PEOPLE OF GAZA. This has bugger all to do with Hamas or Israel.
I am actually really surprised they've decided to do this.
And believe many of those working for the BBC feel the same.
I saw one of the presenters talking to someone on news 24 yesterday about the decision, and she was clearly a little angry with them.
While they didn't do a bad job of covering the attack on Gaza impartially, this isn't about the attack itself, it is about those hurt by it.
There is no side to take on the issue of aid. Israel killed and maimed thousands of people, they destroyed the infrastructure in Gaza. To state so
would be fact. But even though this is fact that we know to be true, it doesn't even need to be mentioned in the request for donations.
BBC = weak
Brit government = even weaker.
International leaders = pathetic
It seems the only people telling the truth, being responsible and being open about their views are the UN, Red Cross and Human Rights Watch.
