Everybody answer Question 1:
1) I consider myself a supporter of Barack Obama. Yes or No.
Do not answer both questions 2 & 3. If both are answered, that response will be discarded.
2) I believe Obama is more than merely human. I consider him a Messiah figure, a savior, perhaps sent from God (or my equivalent). Whatever words I use, I consider Obama more than just a man. Yes or No.

Your objective in asking is pretty obvious.
I've got another question you should add:
I am paranoid that Barack Obama has come from the devil to mesmerize and hypnotize the American people and is going to lead us all to mass suicide as in Jonestown or worse. Yes or No.

Some interesting responses, here, including some very interesting untested assumptions regarding my position on these questions, and my motives for asking them.
Said motives are that I have heard frequent charges by those opposed to Obama that everybody that supports him considers him a "Messiah", a "Savior", and even a "God". Links have been posted to quotes by some that at first blush appear to support this.
My contention is that these charges are ill-informed, and are being made more as a third-grade-playground maturity sort of 'poke' than as something to be taken seriously.
I also contend that the links provided to supposedly support these charges indicate the existence of a fringe element, the far end of a Normal distribution, rather than anything significant. Assuming even these people really, actually consider Obama to be such. One question I would put to any of these fringe people is: "Do you really, literally think Barack Obama is more than human?". I consider it more likely that this kind of speech on their part is also more rhetoric than substantive.
The fact that not one Obama supporter responding to these questions has indicated a Yes answer to question 2 leads me to conclude that these charges are indeed ill-informed, and made for reasons other than factual, and are therefore to be safely ignored. So to that degree, this thread has been successful.
And in case anybody gives a damn, my answers are:

No

Perhaps you should have expanded on the use of the term "Savior" and asked the question... "Do you consider Obama the Savior of the U.S.?" Although the people who participate on ATS' boards probably would not adhere to even this.. I do think, from the signs around my town at least, that there are alot of people who think that Obama will save the U.S.

I can guarantee you the Conservative party didn't start the discussion about whether Obama was the reincarnation of JFK or MLK, Jr.
