You need to link an article. We can't discuss it without the facts.

Sorry noticed you saw it on the TV.

Bush was right in that people do things like that to get attention; to be heard. They feel that nobody is listening to them and they feel powerless. I think that is the case most times when an adult engages in a childish, immature act.

That's a pretty long toss. Not sure even Vladimir Guerrero could toss a shoe that far.

You do need to post a link.

Peace

In Iraqi (possibly other middle eastern cultures) displaying the soles of ones shoe to another person is highly insulting.

Rocks, bottles etc can and will hurt people. The Iraqi reporter threw his shoes at Bush because he disliked him, this man, did the same.

Seriously a shoe? What a waste, now he only has one shoe (if this story is true). People really need to think things through before they do them. Shoes are expensive nowadays too, what a shame.

This is the only link I could find on this article:

Protesters rally on Bush's last day, throw shoes at White House.

Sk anybody's momma, shoes only make good weapons if you are close enough to smack them on the head. Next time he should try flips flops, they are more projectile and bounce back. Been there, done it!

I think it's funny that people actually have time to do crap like this and sit outside the White House and protest all day. They whine and whine and whine about the country and our government, yet they have all the time in the world. Go get a job and contribute to make this country a better place if you think it's so bad. The 1960's had it right when they coined the temr "hippies".

How is getting a job, going to contribute more to America than protesting?

I may have been taught in a public school, but even I know civil disobedience and protesting is but the least of our powers as citizens under the constitution of the United States of America.

Maybe in the corporate owned America, but that ain't "public" knowledge yet.

So getting a job doesn't contribute to our economy? Whining outside of the White House accomplishes nothing but requiring our Police to have to babysit a bunch of grown adults without jobs when the Police could be out serving and protecting instead.

Sure it's a right and I am not saying that it is always a bad thing for something you really believe in but some people have made a profession out of it and that is ridiculous.

These are people that live off of welfare and whatnot, yet they want to b*tch about a country that they don't contribute to. HIPPIES.

i live in michigan and on sudays on the way home from church the streets are lined with people holding up signs that say honk if you want bush in jail.i always think ok the election is over but thats not enough for you people ,you have forged these strong bonds with eachother throughout the election and now must keep fighting even when the battle has been one.its sundays so ya cany get a job but like a person who i respect greatly once told me,If you want to change the world, you must start at home.they would be better served to take this time with their kids instead of standing around with signs that say put bush in jail like a bunch of retards,it is funny for my kids and i however

I assume all the protesters are going to have to change their signs from "Bush is Hitler" to "Spare some change?".
