Well... we now have, or have had...

Atheists moderating in the religion forum(s)

9/11 conspiracy doubters in moderating the 9/11 forum

UFO/Alien doubter/debunkers moderating in the Aliens & UFOs forum

Liberals moderating in the conservative forum (when we had PTS)

Conservatives moderating in the liberals forum (when we had PTS)

Palestinian supporters moderating in the middle east forum

... the list goes on.

Moderators are not picked for their subject matter expertise, they're picked for their understanding of how we desire ATS to operate, and demonstrated ability to operate from a neutral standpoint.

I personally think you should get rid of MirtfulMe, he/she/it is very mean and abusive of there privileges and powers here on ATS, that person is unstable mentally and has no business moderating a forum, my cries of protest have of course conveniently gone unnoticed though, seeing how all mods stick together.

Really? Check out members netchicken, Colonel, Thomas Crowne. I could go on. Ex-staff that abused their powers and were banned. You are wrong that we don't police ourselves.

And if they did they would join the other ex-staff as ex-members. Maybe your attitude comes from YOUR bias?

No, not from my own bias, but from experience with how they act with people and how they handle situations, they are a brotherhood and if something shines some light on something that they don't want the light shined on, then they may be inclined to abuse there powers.

That's the problem with many of these brotherhoods and the secrecy that they hold on to, because we are not certain of if this once secret society is still keeping secrets, so they may be obligated to keep secrets that others may want to know and in doing so they could abuse there powers, I feel like I'm going in circles here.

Do I believe that all Masons are bad, no, do I believe they're all hiding some sorta secret, well, maybe, but we will never be able to know unless we ourselves become Masons now will we?

I just feel that they are more than likely going to over step there bounds as mods being unbias when it comes to something they may know aobut that they don't want others knowing.

And I have shown to you what happens to staff that do that. Thus ATS isn't a Masonic site. Never was, never will be.

Well ... at least this accusation is a bit different then the 'ATS is a disinfo site' or 'ATS is monitored' stuff that we usually get every few weeks.

doctordoom,
if you don't like what someone posts into your thread, just ignore him. No need to reply to every post. Like they say, "don't feed the trolls!".

And don't take everyone by his word who claims he is or isn't a mason, especialy on the anonymous internet. There are loooooots of fat-assed, long-haired stinky complexic wannabe masons or whatever cruising around on the net, who need to make themselfs feel special by pretending to be someone they are actualy far away from being, lol. I wouldn't want to be one of those who fall for their lies

Actually the question of sexual orientation was never even brought up when I petitioned the lodge so the good news for you is that even you can be a mason! Don't ask don't tell.
