The only people on ATS that can judge ufos are the people that spend time filming ufos anybody that thinks thay can judge what a ufo is and has not spent any time looking at the sky's is just talking nonsense.
example
I mean really lets be honest Its like trying to tell a joiner how to make a chair when your no idea were to start.

Well when you get videos in heavy pixilated compressed youtube format, thats HARDLY any way to do any serious analyzing or even guessing.

If the UFO videographers want their videos taken seriously, then they would post them somewhere so that their original footage, without all the fancy CG titles and intros and rediculous psyco music added, can be downloaded in original format and then we can see these videos in their pure glory, unedited and uncompressed.

Any editing, or adding CG titles and stupid music tracks always raises a red flag to me because that means the video is NOT original and could have been tampered with.

So

Cheers!!!!

But as a "ufo spotter"... what courses did you attend?
What formal training did you receive,Film and Video Technology BSc(Hons)?
Or perhaps it's just that you look at them often?

I mean, if i sat and watched the ground/earth for long enough... would i be a geologist?

Clearly a joiner will have some formal training....

ridiculous...

I guess i can't predict the weather when I see an ominous cloud because I'm not a weatherman.
Maybe I can't be an eye witness to a crime because I'm not a cop or detective and haven't seen enough crime scenes to really know what I'm talking about.

I've seen thousands of airplanes, helicopters, etc in my lifetime. I'm pretty sure I'd recognize something unusual if I saw it(and I have).

If i understand you correctly, you're saying unless you've seen a U.F.O. (unidentified flying object, not flying saucer) then you possibly can't judge on what the object in ANY video or picture could be?

perhaps try not being as aggressive and you may get some decent answers.

yeah, I've seen one, that's my whole point.

I can tell when something is not a normal craft, hence the name unidentified. Come on bro, I see planes fly over me all day long. Big ones, small ones, high ones, low ones.

You can be a witness too.
Check out "which one of these things is not like the other" from Sesame Street. It's a good show for kids like you. You may also learn a thing or 2 about writing coherently from it.

Well I have "judged" videos, including some of yours in the past.

Obviously everyone can post their "opinions" on anything such is the nature of free will, this is a public forum - with help from ATS!

*

Video must show CONCLUSIVE PROOF of ET intelligence before I accept it as CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE of ET intelligence.

Conclusive means it cannnot be attributable to Terrestrial phenomena - which is more LIKELY. Terrestrial phenomena is MORE LIKELY because often the videos are filmed on Earth - a video in space will discount aeroplanes - video filmed on another world will exclude most terrestrial fauna for example.

Therefore I judge limited evidence against what it is more likely to be of. But that is just my own reasoning, not entirely scientific as I am rather biased.

I have watched your vids though, I think you have a steady hand and a good camera I hope you get some great video in the future - please try to get closer, if you can get footage inside the craft this would also help (maybe film away from Stirling city?)

it was to high to capture with my cell phone.
so i did the next best thing, I called my friend and explained everything i was seeing to him in as much detail as i could.

Had you been there you would have agreed it was an unusual and unidentifiable object. I don't have to be an expert on anything other than what's normally in my environment to know that I'm seeing something unusual.

Why do you think you can judge something that you have never seen before that's all I,m saying

Who says I've never seen one before...

I just don't post every single one and i don't post any videos...

Here are two threads I've made myself on here... regarding my sightings (or about 0.00003% of them anyway..complete with pics and enlargements)
I don't bother now, as there is never an answer

(or the one i want
)

But you really can't prove anything over the internet.. i would say there is almost no clear proof of ufo's on here... even after x amount of years and thousands of threads... proof is a very subjective thing.

Actually I do not think its judging, its more like giving an opinion based on the available information...highly pixilated information at that, which doesnt help to make a...as you put it..."judgement" on what is seen.

There are alot of UFO videographers here in ATS. Some of them have spent thousands of dollars in equipment to capture UFO's. They are quite serious about what they are doing. Even some of those have been debunked by their own authors.

If you want opinion from the world about what you got on video, dont take offense when someone says something that you dont want to hear. If you do not take opinion..or "judgement" as you call it, from both sides, then you dont need to be posting your videos anywhere. Just keep them to yourself and believe what you want to believe.

Cheers!!!!

I've seen mylar balloons.
I've seen sky lanterns.
I've seen Venus.
I've seen Sirius.
I've seen the ISS.
I've seen birds.

I can judge what they are.

I've seen videos and photos of all of these things claiming that they are UFOs.

What makes you any different from the rest of us? What credentials can you throw up here that makes you above anyone in ATS? What requirements are there that would certify someone as being a researcher that would meet your expectations?

And for someone who is gripping about people making judgements, you certianly are in no position to be making judgements of others here on ATS!!!

Let me put it in another way....quite basic.

If it walks like a duck, quaks like a duck, then its a duck.

Or...

I would suggest that anybody is perfectly free to put up whatever "UFO" footage they see fit. Also, anybody who wants to make a comment about that UFO footage is perfectly free to do so, also.

If you have a particular opinion about a video, whether it was taken by you or somebody else, that is just your opinion. Just like anyone else's. If you want to prove a particular factual thing about a video, then you need to provide additional evidence that backs up your assertion. If you can't, then that's too bad.

But you really can't expect people to simply take you at your word just because you declare yourself an expert. After nearly 40 years of interest in this kind of stuff, I could declare myself something of an expert, too. But even if I was, if I can't cough up evidence to prove something, then it's just my opinion, no matter how deeply I feel I know the truth in my heart.

Yeah, it's frustrating. But that's what objective reasoning is all about. Recognizing the difference between a subjective opinion and an assertion that can be backed up by factual evidence.
