U.S. reportedly refused Israeli plea to raid Iran

"President George W. Bush rejected a plea from Israel last year to help it raid Iran's main nuclear complex, opting instead to authorize a new U.S. covert action aimed at sabotaging Iran's suspected nuclear weapons program, The New York Times reported."

Thought this would interest a few people on ATS. Surprising that Bush's adivisors told him that the U.S would get nothing out of raiding Iran's nuclear facility and he listened. I wonder where these advisors were when Bush decided to invade Iraq?

Now we'll see what Obama does with the situation (interesting considering the current conflict between Israel and Gaza/every Arab country in the region is occuring right at the beginning of Obama's Presidency).

I read that. I think what it meant was that the US wouldn't let Israel raid Iran on their own. Instead the US told Israel it would keep it updated on America's own plans to raid Iran. That was my interpretation.

At this point I just dont trust anything the MSM puts out.

Was this the truth, a half truth or an out right lie? I am just tired of trying to second guess and read between the lines and propaganda to forrage for what I would deem reality.

Depends on the source, the media outlet and who is pulling their strings as to the spin and its direction.

Best to work on your own inner awareness.
