War on Terror Preemptive Strike?

If we had not gone into Iraq almsot six years ago where would Iraq be as a Nation? Would Saddam still be in power? What would be it's present military capabilities? How about it's relationship with Iran? Imagine how different headlines today would be. Strategically Iraq and Afganistan maybe has saved our asses from more conflicts today especially non-profitable ones. All of the people that have blown themselves up and fought against us are all less enemies of different future. Destabalizing that region before it could become a huge threat was probably on Bush and Dicks(lol) minds whenever they decided that. Who knows maybe they just prevented WWIII and rapture by getting rid of Saddam. He was evil thats why he slept with devil in South Park. But is today's Global Meltdown an unforseen consequence or a phase of Global Patriotism(idk Seems more like a phase but the way Bush has been portrayed in the media and the world, and they way media has portrayed the world. WTF?
