The implementation of Windows operating systems in military vessels of the Royal Navy has seen the platform go above and beyond the call of duty, and Bill Gates' initial vision that involved home desks beyond corporate infrastructures, which was nothing short of a stretch at the time. Royal Navy submarines are no longer the only crafts in the fleet upgraded to Windows OSes, as Type 23 frigates belonging to it will also start featuring Windows among the items in their arsenal.
