This is interesting - it seems this guy is legit. I wonder if anything will come of it? Is emedia a reliable news source?

This PR site is legitimate but free. I know a lot of penny stock companies use this site. I just signed up and prepared a PR about ATS (I didn't submit it) if that speaks about its reliability. Sites like this will accept your PR until complaints force them to stop.

I'm thinking it's a hoax.

The folks at godlikeproductions ...err... are eager to believe things. They were longtime supporters of Nancy Lieder's "Planet X is going to hit the solar system in April 2003" and after that even failed to materialize, continued to buy into her statements that "the brown dwarf Planet X is now orbiting in front of the sun in synchronous orbit with the Earth" and "every time the Marianis Trench passes in front of the sun, the Earth's rotation slows down."

I think we've got another "John Titor" fraud.

The original press release comes from PRWeb.com -- and they don't do fact checking. They're just an internet source for press releases. YOU (yes, you folks reading this) could send out a press release on there saying that you're really a Large Pink Unicorn from Sirius B -- and it would dutifully go out for whoever finds it.

I particularly liked this:

I'm not sure what to think of the "protocols": scorpius.spaceports.com...

There was no plan for an experiment or trial (which is the science definition of "protocol") -- and the misuse of the word is odd. I don't have the time to pick apart the references and do the background reading (my biology degree was too long ago) but I'm rather suspicious.
