Do you know anything about premonitions?

I ask the question not because I have them but because my wife certainly does. The funny thing is she basically only has premonitions about everyday things so she doesn’t see for example an accident of some kind. .

I’ll give you a simple but real example; you know these scratch-it type cards you buy to scratch of places on the card whereby eventually find out if you have won some money or not. Okay, if say she purchased 10 of these and had to share them with someone she could pick the winners for herself and pass on the others. We have tried this time and time again and she rarely gets it wrong. If you ask her how she knows they are winners she just says “I can just see myself winning on those cards” The interesting thing is she doest know until they have been purchased, that is she can’t tell while they are on the roll pre-purchase.

There are other situations all quite simple but hard to pass off as coincidence such as what people are going to do next but only if it concerns her. I am wondering if any other people here have premonitions and are willing to share experiences.

Here is a mind twister; I have often thought that it’s possible that she influences her reality. I’ve asked the question but she really doesn’t understand what I mean. This is probably right and it’s in fact nothing to do with her but is in fact my reality.

Perhaps I’m going mad!! Its okay to say so.

I don't know anything about premonitions, but my GF astonishes me all the time.

Knowing who is calling on the phone.
Knowing when her mother or sister is upset.

She predicted a horrible highway crash involving a cattle truck resulting in 2 deaths and a huge mess.

She also has incredible luck at the blackjack and poker tables at our local casino. Perhaps it's not luck.

I know somethings about premonitions. You have them when you sleep. I have them almost everynight. I did some reseach a while on premonitions and found that a person who has premonitions is a natural witch.

For several years now, i've been getting updates on things that happened a while back, sometimes many years before. This information or update if you will, is known only to myself. It's usual just little things, where i come across small black holes in my mind. Things that have been a part of my life, in some strange way. It's not a question of do or die, if i don't get an answer. However there is an urge, to figure out, or wonder what ever happened to a specific person, a band, an artist or the outcome of a courtcase, etc.

In the beginning, i thought it was sort of strange, how fast i would get an answer, to my mentale inquirys. Most answers would come within a week or two, and sometime longer. It's important to know, that i don't seek the answers to the questions by actively seeking them out. It simply just comes to me. Usually by radio, tv, the daily newspaper.

To give you an excample.! A couple of weeks ago i had a flashback, where i wondered where and what had happened to the great band Supertramp. I hadn't heard their music played on any danish radiostation for years. 6 days later the airwaves were blasting 2 back2back. Two songs from the Supertramp album "Breakfast in America" got played. It made me smile and then laugh. Anyhoo, i've got alot more of the same mysterious questions being answered

I've made a small recording booklet, that never leaves my side. I have it ready, so in case anything odd or familiar should happen, i can take some small bits n' pieces and write them down. So maybe later, the sequence will fall into place.

I don't know how you ATS folks would catagorize this phenomenon. It still works for me. Maybe others should give it a go.

Surely that’s a dream no matter how vivid. A premonition is seeing or knowing something in advance well that’s my take on it anyway.

In my OP I intimated about realities because I am suspicious that that may be an answer to what happens. Just for a moment someone shifts to know or see what is in the future. Not unlike the déjà vu experience we have from time to time.

Anyone got any take on I suppose this reality slip

I have had premonitions, but normally, I get them of bad things. I never really am feeling to good when something bad is going to happen. Premonitions are a normal thing as it seems cats have premonitions and other creatures do too. For instance, before a natural disaster, cats will leave the area with their kittens, or attempt to. It also seems that women are more prone to premonitions. I think men have been taught more by society to ignore their intuition than women.

That would make a person a psychic, do you even know what you are talking about?

Just so you know I know what a dream is, and what I have most of the time are not dreams.

Fair enough my OP was asking a question.
If I got it wrong and what she experiences is psychic rather than premonitions then just say so. This stuff is not my field of expertise if you had a question that I could help with I would try to assist in a constructive way.
Your comment “do you even know what you are talking about?” is pure sarcasm that I do know and it’s uncalled for.

I get them all the time ... some times two or three events or episodes a month... but Iam sort of at a loss, you see I saw a NewsPaper in one of my preminitions that was dated August 8, 2008. and that one was a long one at least a minute or so...
That was the date of a war zone that seemed to be in washington DC. thank goodness .. I was swetting the end of July ...

Mine hit me around 7 - 8 pm and I get all tingily like the hair raising on the back of your neck. and I start seeing things like through a squarish tube with really dark periferal vision. sometimes with sound but mostly with just still photo shots or like freeze frame studders.. they only last a moment... and usually within a couple of years that snap shot in time Da Ja Vue in stereo ... I can hover on things in the freeze frame like read get a closer look etc... really weird... anyway thats what happens to me...

I may have misled people in the OP saying premonition when in fact she may be psychic without either of us knowing it. She doesn’t see things as much as feels or senses something. It is really strange and hard to explain second hand. Perhaps I should rename the thread what do you think? Because I would like to get a handle on this.

My question wasn't sarcasm, but since you seem to think so I will say....sorry!!!

Now, all jokes aside, If I was you, I would really think about looking this stuff up. When the same thing started happening to me a few years ago a friend of my told me to do some research about what was going on with me.

One thing you should know is that visions can come at any time if you are psychic.

Premonitions can come in dreams as well as randomly, in my own experience. Your wife, however, seems more like a clairvoyant based on your descriptions. I wouldn't say she's altering her own reality based on what she can do with the lottery tickets.

I certainly take your point however she actually doesn’t think anything of it at all, its all every day stuff and not out of the ordinary. For my part I’m not worried about it or anything I was just curious and it dawned on me to ask here. Thanks for your suggestion.

As I say I don’t really know myself I must admit I hadn’t thought about clairvoyance. One thing that’s good about it is she at least is not plagued with bad stuff its always something good. Thanks everyone for you assistance.

You're welcome and you're right there is nothing to worry about. Then again, if she starts to predict things that will happen later on, then it should be noted if it comes true because that would make her psychic for sure.
