I know this gun doesn't need a scope but I would like your experienced input on what scope and base's you would put on this firearm. The action is violent and I would appreciate any input on what setup you would go with on this great weapon.

Thanks

From all the research I've done, the 2 best M1A/M14 scope mounts are the one made by Sadlak Industries and the one by Smith Enterprises. I have no experience with Sadlak but Smith Enterprises makes top notch take to battle stuff. They produce complete high end M14 rifles for special ops units and limited numbers for the public.

The M1A/M14 is a notoriously difficult weapon to get a good base for a scope. The M25 is an M1A/M14 version made by LRB arms that alleviates this problem by directly attaching a picatinny rail on top of the receiver with tapped screws eliminating the need for a side mount scope mount.

As for the ARMS scope mount - I have heard it won't hold zero for very long at all.
