With oil priced at $40 per barrel, which is similar to the price of oil before the start of the Iraq war, we could have purchased about 15 billion
barrels of oil... a full two years worth of oil for my country by now with the $585 Billion and rising price tag of the war. Put another way, Iraq's
entire oil reserves are estimated at 112 billion. so, we basically spent 1/7 of their oil supply just trying to steal it and we may not even end up
getting any of it in the first place! Talk about a waste!
