Again I believe this is about more than Gaza. We are looking at the spark that will cause a bigger fire.

So much undeserved loyalty to something of which you know nothing.

When this escalates to a conflict that leaps oceans and seas, when it comes to your door your rhetoric will not save you as the children in Gaza are not being saved.

We need men of peace right now. People of integrity and empathy.

Waken up to the fact that this is going to affect you and prey, that you too are not abandoned in your hour of need.

Respects

THIS IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I've seen and read some terrible things over the last week, but seeing those beautiful little girls write on those shells completely shocks me.

I'm completely gob smacked. I just cannot fathom this logic and madness.

Yet Getty has no problem getting images out. They have photos from today, yesterday, ... back as far as you would like to go.

So there are journalists there, many news orgs have offices in Gaza and so have no need for Israel to let more in.

I did a search for images on Getty and Reuters and could not find a single image showing any starvation. I wonder why that is.

I also don't see any photos of any Palestinian that looks like they have missed any meals. They all look normal and some of them even look plump.

What I did find on Getty and Reuters were photos showing the Palestinains passing food and medicine through the tunnels along the border. I even found several images of whole herds of sheep and goats being passed through the tunnels.

All you have to do is go to Getty images and do your own search.

Those photos are from 2006 and the Lebanon war. I don't see they have much relevance here.

Well, as we've tried too tell her, the Palestinians never ate grass. The confusion was that they were using the grass too burn after running out of wood, and cabinets, and furniture.

I looked at the photos and they are disgusting.

I don't think that it's any worse though than using a Mickey Mouse character on a kids show to tell the Palestinian kids that it's OK to kill Jews. Remember that one?

Anyway, it is always disgusting when children are used for propaganda purposes.

That being said, the pics could have been staged.

Remember that during the Israel/Hezbollah conflict that Reuters was caught doctoring photos.

Yes these are from a different war.
Secondly..how do you even know what the kids have written on the bombs is correct to the translation. That could be pure propaganda.

Wow captiva, i must give you the Orwell award for your mind-f--king rehtoric.

Or maybe rather the "Gabby Gerbils" fear the hoard award.

Men of peace have been talking and dying long enough to no effect. Any talk of peace at this point is treason to truth and reality. Any attempt to sow fear to do what must be done is from the mouth of death. Let the death camps stand as testimony to inaction and appeasement. Roll on Judah roll on.

Yes, we get most of our oil from countries outside the mideast and we could do even better. If only Congress would act and make offshore oil available on the East and West Coasts and then there is that ANWR thing.

Not to mention oil shale and tar sands.

hammas must be destroyed and israel submit to the the un a full departure of all palestinians. this country can not live in peace until all palestians are removed. it's pretty sad to say this but its the truth. israel needs to fully invade gaza and destroy all walks of life that opposes... civilian and terrorist

Israel should practice the old method of scorched Earth warfare... Give the HAMAS operatives something they have never seen before... Shake it up a bit, rattle their cages... Let them know whose boss and lay waste to everything... It is the only thing works, especially against a enemy that doesn't fear death... Play outside the rules and think outside the box... Use Blackjack Pershing's method of fighting an insurgency... Google it if you dont know what it is...

I can understand making sarcasm about someone, but not when you make refrence to a whole group of people. That is just ignorant. Why don't you go to myspace or something. This forum use to have quality members, but I can see it's turning in to something else.
So long for the forum I signed up 4 years ago.Guess it changed in to the usual crap.

Tens of thousands of Israeli troops backed by tanks battled Hamas fighters in Gaza on Sunday as the death toll from the offensive to end militant rocket attacks passed 510.

Israeli forces moved into the fringe of Gaza City while families fled or hid in cellars awaiting a second night of combat. The Israeli government fought off intense international pressure over its biggest military operation since its 2006 war in Lebanon.

At least 63 Palestinians were killed by tank shells or missiles fired from warplanes since the ground offensive was launched on Saturday night, Gaza medics said.

Israel said one soldier was killed by a mortar shell and about 30 were wounded.

Columns of Israeli troops and tanks surrounded Gaza City and fighting was reported in outer districts. Fierce clashes were also reported around the northern towns of Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanun and Jabaliya.

Explosions and machine gun fire rocked the territory of 1.5 million people. Hamas fighters fired mortar rounds and detonated roadside bombs in front of the advancing troops, witnesses said.

Moawiya Hassanein, head of Gaza medical emergency services, told AFP the number of Palestinians killed since the Israeli operation was launched on December 27 was now 512, including 87 children.

Five members of the same family died when one tank shell hit their car near Gaza City, emergency services said.

Three ambulance workers were killed when they were hit by a missile as they helped wounded victims of the conflict, medics said.

Aid groups said the offensive had aggravated a humanitarian crisis for the population, who have no electricity, no water and now face dire food shortages. Hospitals were only running on backup generators.

source

I am surprised that there's little information on how this battle is progressing. Especially in comparison to the battle of 2006 vs Hezbollah when there was plenty of information available. One could argue that Israel's censorship is the reason.

Yes, I was thinking that. There is hardly any news at all about what is going on in the battle. I did read earlier that Israeli now has 55 injured soldiers with one dead. An increase in 25 over the night. I have a feeling though that causalities could be higher.

If Hezbollah wants to do something, and help Hamas somehow, now is the time. I have really wonder why they have been so passive all the time, and when we remember the rage was was up after latest assassination of their leader...

Not tomorrow, but now...

Oil in America... Well there is all that oil the Oil Companies sit on nut don't drill. When gas prices were up the liberals whined about it but the GOP blocked any forcing of drilling. Although I wouldn't force them too drill oil either. It was in areas where by the time they got it up and transported we might as well have gotten it from the Middle East for cheaper. We have plenty of oil, we just can't get too it in a profitable way. We need to develop teleportation tech too get it all out on the cheap.
