Notice more than usuall Helicopter activity?

I live in North Texas, and ever since the summer of 08 I have been seeing and hearing helicopters buzz around almost everyday. I remember being and football practice and 3 out of the 4 days we practiced i saw a helicopter, whether it was Red, White, And blue (mostly white), or All black with like some yellow on the tail. Anyone know why there is more helicopters than usual?

Thats odd, I live in New orleans and there has been a decline in helicopter activity. I have yet to see one helicopter in over a week and I have been all over the city do to hospital issues, family and other issues. Not one helicopter, have you heard anything on the news about training people to fly or maybe your over a new fly zone?

Nothing in the news.. but maybe a fly zone.. ill look into it...

I know what you're talking about! I live in Arlington and I've seen groups of 3 military helicopters twice in the last 3 or 4 days! And the other night I was around garland/north dallas and we saw 4 or 5 helicopters fly right over our head. It was pretty crazzzy

I was driving to jujitsu practice when I noticed about four helicopters above the city. It seemed that there were more lights in the sky but I didn't really check in fear of smashing into the truck in front of me.

I live in nor cal so its unusual for more than one coast guard chopper to be out and about at night; it was an isolated incident as far as I know though.

I live in northern Texas as well and I've posted about increased air traffic in the recent past. It does seem as though there have been more planes and helicopters flying overhead in the past few months.

I live out side Kansas City, and I have noticed this alot. Chinooks, Apaches and the smaller ones (dont know the name)

I have only seen 2 Apaches. I see the Chinooks and the smaller one almost everyday. This has only been happening since the summer.

I was kinda caught off gaurd my this thread....Does anyone have any ideas?

Had a lot of Chopper activity today. Usually have none or maybe 1 in 2 weeks. Don't know if it's the same one flying around or more than 1. I was thinking it was odd though. I live NorCal central valley near Chico.

I have notice helicopters here in Alabama, but as I remeber back through my life I can remember periods of higher activity. It could just be them going through their maneuvers. Or it could be they are preparing to haul us all off to camps.

Ah yes those Concentration Camps, who could have forgot about that. Yep and again I must say that there are no helicopters yet to be seen today either, thats really wierd because its the New Years eve and they like to fly around in the day time to see if anyone is setting up fireworks to go off that aren't supposed to. Wierd while you folks have an increase, I have a decrease in helicopter activity, I wonder if anyone else is having a decrease?

I've seen no unusual helicopter activity recently, except that as I drove south through Ventura and LA, I saw two formations of three flying over LA and Ventura. One of them had a searchlight on.

Perhaps there was a manhunt going on?

I'm in southwest Virginia and I have noticed increased helicopter activity here as well. We had one hover for at least 30 minutes right around (above) my office. Changing its position, but just sitting there. When I got home that night, I asked my husband if he noticed the helicopter today (as he works out and about all day and I figured he may have caught a glimpse) and he says, "yeah, it sat above the house across the street for a really long time." He was talking about a completely different incedent that I didn't know anything about...I know I worried they were watching ME when he told me that....my son had seen a UFO not even one week before this
