While I normally frown upon wikipedia as a source, read the articles at the end of the page using the following link. They document the series of events quite well, although they may be a bit difficult for you since they do not contain pop up pictures.

You may want to pay particular attention to the one that talks about why Israel refused to lift the blockade after hamas was caught smuggling weapons into Gaza which was against the accord that hamas agreed too. However, Israel was allowing food and medical supplies into gaza which pretty much counters the sludge you are pushing.

I agree with you, in every way except your disdain for Wiki. I know that they strive very very hard for accuracy and their vetting process seems very rigorous. I know I would hate to be responsible for a Wiki article based on the standards Ive seen them enforce. JMO...

Those Palies are not starving. One look at the news footage today shows the women are nice and soft, just the way I like them in America. The kids have lots of energy to throw stones and the men run around with their heavy home made rockets like they are on speed or some darn thing. So cut the hypocritical sentimentality. They look nothing like the people in the ghettos of central and South America.

"Ghetto" is an Italian word meaning something similar to "metal factory." It was probably related to the Jews in Italy because of their work with coining money with precious metals.

The liberal media cherry picks pictures of "suffering" palestinians and publishes them because they know that people who don't have the intellectual fortitude to know what they are up to will swallow the propaganda hook, line, and sinker. I disagree... LM is very in vogue... Its unfortunate that when he/she gets frustrated LIBRAL gets tossed off the pipes.

My $.02 is that both side are responsible for this mess. It seems very obvious that the zealots on both side fuel this. Its even more apparent that all the bullets and tanks in the region will not fix this. Every violent act spawns five more...

The problem on this kind of threat, is that so few people are not biased. You choose one side and then blame the other party for everything. How can we resolve the problem like this?
i think israelian and palestinian both suffered in recent history and both deserve our compassion. Lets try to see from both perspective !! If we really want to find a solution, we have to start to think as one! not 2 sides.

Anyways heres my 2 pence worth of opinion, the violence has to stop and the government of Isreal has an obligation to find a way to stop the violence through dialogue.

Sanctions, walls and areal bombs havn't worked, so now its time to address what is the grevance of their neighbours, come to a compromise and act upon it.
We did it here in Northern Ireland it took years to get it going, but we finally got it working.
