writing lyrics

Not sure if this is the right place to post (sry mods if not)
I have for many years been writing lyrics & poems & never know what to do with them,I wondered if there was anyone here who could point me in the right direction as been told many a time they are good,but no good just sitting in my draw..lol
Maybe a musician needs some lyrics as I am not musical just write..
any suggestions....

Maybe start a thread in the right forum and just post them or link to them and let them come to you.

Build it and they will come.

Play it and they will listen.

Write it and they will read it.

pick up the ole acoustic and get your fingers used to touching the strings. play simple melodies and use your lyrics as the vehicle

Firstly thanx for moving thread to right area.....blush.....

I can write the lyrics no problems,but the music....just isn't in me..
I could put some of my lyrics here,but am worried someone may steal them
