From the research I've done, the chip will be your identity. If you do or say something they don't think is appropriate, first it will be turned
off for a certain amount of time as a warning. If you persist, it will be turned off completely.
Supposedly, if you have it turned off, or if you don't have one, you will be labeled a dissenter, thus a terrorist against established values in
their mind.
No, by far, the best thing is to prevent it from happening in the first place, for once it's installed, there's no turning back. Again supposedly,
people are going to vote this into existence willingly. Whether they realize what it truly is or not, people will vote for some kind of security
excuse the powers that be will give them after some kind of catastrophic event - be it bio-terrorism, nuclear strike, Chinese foreclosure (know how
much we owe 'em?) or some other dividing event.
It may also happen slowly. They are already practicing on pets, and I hear on the grapevine, there are also children (new borns) being implanted with
it already - by the parents request no doubt. It is being hailed as a safety device. It will always be hailed as a safety device.
I suppose the only question we need to ask ourselves is:
Do we want safety, or do we want freedom?
Remember, all of mankind dies, but not all of mankind can say they've truly lived.
Edit: Couldn't leave the last line sexist.
