Tom Petters: Have you heard of him?

So has anyone here heard of / about Tom Petters? He was a business man who bilked over $3 Billion from invetsors. He was based in the Minneapolis area, and thru his company "Petters Worldwide", owned (or at least a share of) Sun Country Airlines, Polaroid, and several others.
