no, the 25 was just what he listed in the financials. His financial statements were audited by an accounting firm that kept "odd hours" and the firm has, for the last 15 years, been writing the AICPA, by hand no less, that they do not perform any audits and, therefore, they are not required to submit themselves to peer review.

White collar crime no doubt, and in a cushy prison, if they see time at all. Wonder if some of the investors had a choice in being help up by some street mug or giving their money to Madoff which they would choose now?

Will be interesting to see who is on Madoffs list, if it is ever released.

If the rest of us little investors ever recoup the losses from the recent economic situations, and if I have learned anything from Madoff et al. I am going to start keeping my money in my mattress.
