Send a Christmas Card Across the Miles to the Expedition 18 Crew

www.examiner.com

The NASA website is inviting the general public to send holiday greetings to the Expedition 18 crew on the International Space Station.  There are four designs to from which to choose-- an crew member waving during a pause in an EVA ("Wish you were here!"),  a gorgeous image of the Earth at night ("View From Above"), a picture of the ISS ("Hello from 220 miles up!") and a CGI depiction of the Martian surface ("Greetings From Mars.")

The astronauts may be a little lonely this Christmas, so why not send them some cheer from the earth? The article details the cards you can choose from and how to send them. I assume the cards and the transmission of them are free.

However one may feel about NASA and its politics, this seems like a worthy effort. It could be a science lesson for the kids.

Merry Christmas!
