Carl Jung Synchronicity

At first I thought “well maybe he read my thread”.

Then as I read further I saw no….. He simply was looking at his Web Bot.

Then as I read the Web Bot’s message I saw that it had picked out the Maddoff Case out of the news chatter as my thread had.

That is beyond weird.

This is a classic Synchronicity.

Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events which are causally unrelated occurring together in a meaningful manner. In order to count as synchronicity, the events should be unlikely to occur together by random chance.

Read the buried in the news part...

Anyway. it was a life-changer for me; got me to looking at contexting and framing. The Magid study and then the Zen-like insight of the KFRC PD made it all perfectly clear.



Ever since then I've figured the American public's taste in media has been something akin to a radio transmitter looking at the ionosphere's F-2 layer at night. It reflects alright, but the reflection is fluttery, jittery, and there's enough distortion of things that you never get exactly what you think you should. (I would have used the 'trying to see your reflection in a pond that you've just thrown a rock into, but that would make the analogy far too simple, low-tech, and comprehensible. Definite no-no when talking news philosophies.)

Some deep down behind the headlines, the real world-changers are usually percolating along, often they're just out of sight/reach because of the curious ratings-driven decision-making processes in newsrooms. I agree that I could be off base here a little(lol) so I wanted to try and throw it out there.....again...in the classic Carl Jung sense in order to see what else can be said about this subject.

It's not synchronicity -- it's linguistics.

The bots are programmed to search for certain topics, and certain words or phrases have a higher ranking than others. Depending on how the bot is instructed to "make the rounds" and what its "corpus text rules" are, the program would come up with different results. For very esoteric fun, you can try to see when it usually makes its rounds and load up your posts with the keywords and see what happens.

Gaming the system on bots is an old favorite game of marketers.

Yes...the web bot is linguistics yet to arrive at the same conclusion as to the buried in the news idea looks like a classic Jung synchronicity.

I do read the Urbansurvival daily, and after reading the one cited it seems to fall in line ......same thrust of thought, same conclusion, and unrelated...as I am a human and it is a "web bot"....lol

Again....I am open to ideas....but this is sort of mind bending. That is having two ideas which spring up from two different methods, two different locations, (diff, countries), two different web sites, almost at the exact same time, etc.

If you wanted to pick just one person who encapsulates the very best of America's commitment to Freedom and Patriotism, I think I'd go with General George S. Patton. If you haven't seen the movie "Patton" - it's a must-watch.



But now this morning comes a report that is almost like revealing the 'dark side' of the PowersThatBe, which in case you didn't get it, were also the PowersThatWere back during World War II and arguably before that, too.

If I read the summary right in the UK Telegraph, seems Patton's march east through Germany was halted by higher ups who apparently had already cut a deal with the Russians in advance of Potsdam. There you have it (again) the John Birch folks being right, but no one around today willing to acknowledge it, huh?



I know, if you're thinking something like "You mean the Cold War was a set-up?" That'd sure be an interesting way to read it. Which is while corporate social is the order of the day in Washington, Comrade.

To be true synchronicity, the events must each have a strong internal meaning to you...else it's just a highly improbable occurrence. Now, I'm not sure if these news events do hold a deeper meaning to you, and if they do, then you should take a closer look at this. Else, don't go to crazy over it

Well that is it then as both do have a special meaning for me.

That is probably why I felt so elated at reading the ideas again.

Take a look at what each situation represents for you...what feelings or emotional reaction rises when you experience each. Although we may be connected to a situation on an at-face or intellectual level, the deeper meanings can be tied to the interactions with the subject rather then the subject itself.

Maybe I'm off base, but I find it odd that someone who usually posts things so conventionally by-the-book and materialist would even entertain the idea of synchronicities, which was used by Carl Jung himself to justify things like classical tenets of astrology. If you don't mind my asking, do you even believe in synchronicities as proposed by Jung?

I read his first real exposition on the subject, and Jung said his theory was inspired by Einstein's ideas of the dimension of time having its own shape to it that is variable depending on the frame of reference (Einstein and Jung were friends, coincidentally). By elevating one's emotional energy, for example, one's own consciousness can approach a singularity with time that allows one's mind access to more and more archetypal forms from which the universe is generated from a moment-to-moment basis. Thus access to "psychic" insight. Jung did experiments that proved that emotional excitement and novelty increased subjects' ability to accurately "read" cards being shown in another room or at even greater distances, and all this data is presented in the same book. As time went on and the subjects became bored with the experiment, their accuracy dropped, though they weren't aware of it. This was a general trend that he noticed repeatedly and that defied random chance by the statistics, which would expect only 25% accuracy (only 4 different cards were being drawn). One of his subjects achieved 100% accuracy in one session of testing, and the chances of that randomly occurring were calculated as being astronomical.

It's a very interesting field of research and very easy to see why both the US and Soviets have spent so many resources investigating ESP and remote viewing.

Patton is the archtype of the US Soldier.

Buried in the news is the intent of everyday life with its distractions to throw your bearing missing what is really important...buried under the distraction.

Great read....you should start a thread of Jung. I remember reading Man and His Symbols and having a somewhat cool period of exploring archtypes.
