Hello im new to this board but glad I found it....eitherways I figured this would be a good placeto ask this.
For anyone who is involved with meditations or spirutal awareness of any kind or anyone involved wihth healing....
I was wondering if any of you have noticed a increase in the amount of people becoming turned on to these ideas recently.
The reason I ask is because I live in a small town in Indiana..A year ago these concepts seemed ridiculus to me until I read "The Celestine Prophecy" which was a good read even if you arent into this stuff.
So anyways after reading about coincidences I begain to notice my friends grandmother hosted and help meditation services. I began going me and about 3 of my friends...However as the months went on more and more teenagers (were all 18) begain showing up...most of them are friends who had simply heard about this from word of mouth.
I think we went from having the 3 of us to probably bringing a good 30 to 40 different people there just by people wanting to see what was going on.
Now a few of us have recently been attuned to Reiki I and II and it seems like most people we know want to experience a healing session and in general are curious

Again I just wanted to see if by chance there was an uprising number of people..particulary the youth becoming turned on to this idea at a rapid rate.
30 to 40 may not seem like a whole lot but I mean if you have ever tried to sit down and explain to just one person some ideas of spirtuality and healing..and try to sound like your not insane to them?
anyways any feedback is appreciated

Oh yes, people are definately starting to "wake up" for lack of a better term. I seem to be literally DRAWING like minded individuals to me.

I have been practicing meditation, and, ironically, Reiki I and II. The Reiki though I have just currently learned about maybe five months ago.

But yes, it would seem that people are becoming extremely spiritually aware, more so than anytime before.

hmm good to see that...its kinda crazy I was introduced to the concept of reikie prolly around 5 months aswell...and had just finished talkin about the zeitgeist movie earlier as I read your signature
I dont want to mix subjects up but this can pretty much go along with my first question
For this invloved with this aspect of thinking and lifestyle have any of you or anyone you know been receivng visions or prophecies for the next upcoming years.
I'm not tryin to turn this into a 2012 things but I would like to see if any others had visions similar to one that my mediation guru has had and has been trying to spread the information of
anyways
anyone else notice a steady growth in conciousness?

Well, about two or three years ago I had a dream that I was hovering out above a major city. The city was next to a coastline and I remember that the "air' felt different in this dream. The sea was very chaotic, and there seemed to be a voice calling to me, it kept whispering something about "Aquarius" but I couldn't make anything out.

All I really remember was the city being thrashed by tidal waves...

Around the same time I had a dream that I was standing out on a country road. There were people around and everyone seemed to be excited/agitated. I was standing next to a friend of mine who pointed down the road to the horizon. I saw the sun and it was huge, and very bright, in a different way. But there were other planets in the sky as well, and one of them was about to crash with Earth. My friend and I just stood there watching the planet come closer. When Earth and this other planet finally "made contact" they didn't destroy each other. Instead they just seemed to "make port" with one another. BUT the atmospheres did mix and it created a weird electrical feeling to the air. While I was standing there in awe, out of nowhere Grey aliens come flying out from underground Earth and they all have these jet-packs on they use to fly over to this other planet attached to Earth. This other planet appears to be some kind of "paradise" and is only inhabited by spirits, someone in my dream told me it was the Seraphim. The Greys had these weird guns that created invisible barriers around these souls/Seraphim like some kind of spiritual "shackles". I could sense the presence of these spirits in the barriers in my dream, and the Greys had them in single file line. At the end of the line I remember that one of the spirits was PI$$ED about being imprisoned, I could actually see it and it was just flailing and thrashing about. What the Greys actually did with these souls, I don't know. I don't remember the rest of the dream.

You ever tried stayin awake or going into a meditave state around 3am to 4am...apparently that is the time where most spirits and such pass on information..nothing inpaticular but information none the less

I have astrally projected once, by accident, but the experience was such a shock for me that it threw me off guard and I wasted a lot of psychic energy.

I have been practicing astral projection, and right now I am trying to battle my own fear of detaching from my body. It just feels really weird, you get this strange vibrating feeling everywhere and you begin to feel weightless, it can give you vertigo. So usually I can't get past the "vibrations" stage without freaking out.

But yes, when you astrally project you are in another dimension.

And there are other astral beings there as well, and yes you can share information.

Here is an excellent website if you want to learn how to astrally project:

Just in case, there are a couple different zodiacs...as of 2002 it is officially accepted that there are 13 signs in the zodiac.

A big turning point in my life was finding out I was a Leo instead of a Virgo.

Just in case for other curious minds,

Actually, I am not absolutely positive, my girlfriend's family is very into reiki, and she is the one teaching me. Along with her Grandmother as well, so I would have to ask them.

Definitely. I've mostly noticed it here at ATS, with the recent creation of this forum and the amount of people posting about various transcendental subjects.

Many of my friends "in real life" are also interested in this stuff, but I think that's mostly my fault, because they are open-minded, anti-authority and don't like organized religion (like myself), but they also don't actively pursue esoteric knowledge. So often times we have a lot of conversation about things mostly that I read or study, and so many times I almost act like a channel or proxy in that way. I've been surprised by a number of synchronicities in the past though where both a friend or mine or two and myself will simultaneously stumble upon essentially the same information and take to it. I am convinced that the information itself tends to make its rounds regardless of the medium.

Just my 2 cents, but I know of the sidereal Zodiac, but I still go by the tropical and consider myself an Aquarius, simply because that's what I happened to resonate with, even before I knew what the symbol represented. There is no "official" Zodiac, and in fact there is more than one version of the sidereal.

It boils down to this: are the correspondences and associations from the Zodiac....

(A) Dependent upon the position of stars as seen from Earth? (Sidereal)
(B) Dependent upon the seasons on the Earth? (Tropical)
(C) A combination of the two?
(D) Doesn't matter; it's just a form of "magic" and is all in your head (which doesn't necessarily invalidate the system, as groups of traits do tend to occur together naturally -- I know that much)

Until someone can answer those sorts of questions, and I've never personally seen anyone attempt them, it's still an open question to me and I'm still trying to work it out for myself.

In traditional psychology, it's very likely that the season in which you are born has early imprinting effects as to subtly mold certain traits, or emphasize certain ones over others, etc. It's known that the release of various chemicals and hormones in your body are related to the amount of sunlight, temperature, etc. in your local environment. So seasonal changes in those would produce physical changes in your body, albeit very subtle ones.

Believe me, Virgo resonated with me very much so. I am a loving mother and I nurture everyone around me. But, you spoke of 'enlightenment' so you call it...which is a path of feeling like one gains wisdom about their life or what is life.

Part of that road, for me, was accepting some things I didnt want to. Many dont get far because of how hard this is. Most want knowledge but disregard the wisdom.

Now, Leo fits nicely for me, with my hint of Virgo as well.

It is magical yes, and no, there is not for sure meanings. But....what if we all make this 'illusion' of life here, what if we come here as knowing spirits, on a mission or experience somehow...and what if, there are a few things we can leave to ourselves as a sign from the light....such as parents or where we grow up (culture) or even a birth sign.

But if you dont believe in things like spirit coming into matter, there would be no need to ponder such thoughts I suppose...

Peace,
LV

There is a global spiritual enlightenment happening at a very rapid pace. Any one who is even slightly tuned into their spiritual side can see and feel it. And the numbers of people "awakening" will continue to rise as we pass the galactic ecliptic in 2012. Contrary to popular belief this is not the end of the world, but a time where the consciousness of humanity will rise to a new level of spiritual awareness. Exciting times these.

I know what you mean, and that's crossed my mind several times, but I still am not so easily won over just because the stars don't line up anymore, because how do we know the constellations themselves have anything to do with it? I really want to know the relevant mechanism here, if there is one.

The funny thing is, there was no difference between the tropical and sidereal systems in ancient times. And I'm still searching for some illumination as to what the underlying determining factor is. It really screws with me, too, because I can see the tropical signs in my closest friends, too, matching to a T (as well as my own sign for myself), and yet other people claim the same for sidereal. All I can go off of is what I know and have experienced personally, but because of this I am far from satisfied with what I know of the astrological system in general.

Well it all goes back to the precession of the stars, yes. There was NOT always 13 signs that fell in the zodiac rrelhm. Other issues with the Tropical are the signs are not equally divided, but the tropical displays them as all equal, saying the sun is in each sign for the same amount of time. For example, scorpio is only blessed with the sun for eight days out of the yr. and the sun spends more time in Virgo then any other sign. So even without the sidereal use, the tropical is wrong when deviding the signs in equal 12 parts.

I dont think the star signs are personal to everyone, but I do feel that possibly, there was a chance that we could of chose our signs before our birth. ( I know, sounds crazy).

I think the MAIN reason for the zodiac is so we can keep up with the ages throughout the great yr. which is about 24,000 yrs. and this is divided equally into 2000 yr. ages. Some say the sphinx was built in the age of Leo OR on the cusp of Leo and Virgo...showing what age the sphinx was built. ALot of theories revolve around the 'great yr.' and some say that the half way point (which is where we are at, at the opposite sides of Leo and Virgo....are the time and age where our nature becomes more right and peaceful...some call it the golden age.

Corse every time a age changes, we have what seems to be new enlightenments, new evolving of religious beliefs, and usually a belief that a divine teacher will come and redirect others to remain on the right path.

But still, my experience of finding out I was a Leo led me to many experiences. My dreams were profound for about 6 months after I found this out. It was like my spiritual self was being reborn....very wild, but was really awesome. The dreams were oh so real and they all were very different from any dreams I had ever had.

Im one of those odd balls...Im very spiritual, would love to be ordained for weddings and funerals one day (without it portraying a religion, but yet, just spirituality...and then on the other end, Im going to school for psychology. Odd mix from what Ive been told.

Peace,
LV

Also, its not about the stars simply not lining up. The wobble of the Earth causes the stars to move about 1 degree every 72 yrs. (something like that). They are following their order just fine...what is amazing is the ancients knew of this order, they knew they seemed to move (when its really the wobble of the Earth). To know the sun rises in a different sign every month is one thing. To know that every 2000 yrs. the age changes...that is another. And to know that the wobble takes earth on a corse from leaving its original north star and taking 24, 000 yrs. to get back aligned with this north star.

All the less...just still speculation. But the ancient ones were obsessed with this and knew alot about it.

Peace,

Just had a look at your astral projection website - Under beginers tips the lady, Anne, I think talks about coming round from a lucid dream state.
Ok for me this is wierd in a good way. Ever since I was young I have had these experiances, and the way she describes rolling over and grabbing at something to come out of it is identical to what I have been experiencing since childhood. There is one other effect which she hasn't mentioned - not being able to breath for a second or two. The way I have experianced this is to just relax and come and you start breathing again - then you start grabbing at things lol.
Anyway as you posted this link you must have some expeiance of this? I was wondering seen as I have never really tried to actively lucid dream these moments stay with me - yet very little of what has actually occured during sleep does not. There have been a few instances of me being in my room and talking to a rather large 'individual' they being rather statuesc and featureless, and teling them not now, or what are you up too?
Have you ever heard of this?
I am very interested to try out these techniques described on this website and woulld welcome some advice.
PEACE and happy trips

Personally, I don't know, but you could be having conversations with astral beings in your sleep.

At least that is what it sounds like to me.
