If three billion people agree the bible is one hundred percent accurate... Does that make it and everything written within it an absolute fact? No?

but if 3 million people could prove reliably and accuratley beyond reasonable dought using facts and evidence would that make it right? yes it would, or at least prove it as right as they are physically able

Then how in the hell does peer reviewed acceptance make a fact? it’s a fact because science says so…

and it hold the highest standards of testing and most rigerous methods, it doesnt sit around and vote on stuff to just accept it has to be proven beyind reasonable dought before other scientists will even look at it, and then they try thier dam hardest to prove it wrong

Seriously though, that's one of the many things that bothers me about science. They think just because people agree with their hypothesis some how that makes it correct,

a hypothesis is a best guess that is currently unproven, you can favour one over another but cant call them correct

yet people like you believe you have some higher authority over religious people when in truth you two are exactly alike.

If you're truly seeking answers then simply read what people are saying instead of glossing over it.
This has been a learning experience for me on just how hard headed the creationist mind truly is.

Gee you took the words right out of my mouth and the only intelligent things you have said was when you quoted me! If you look at the start of this you'll see i said this same sentiment and it isn't I it is US as this argument is the same on BOTH sides and like i said before, NEITHER can be proven and BOTH ID and Darwinian evolution should be taken out of science and put in the Philosophy Dept.

Just don't give me this crap that YOU are the one open anything other than what YOU WANT to believe and yes I choose also be it by faith or by the many archaelogical findings corroborating the Bible and the many things it says waaaay back then that are being proven as true all along by Science. I believe but can not prove is the argument and again even Dawkins admitted that whether Mel believes it ot not doesn't mean it isn't true.

Emm...reading your posts i see no refute to evolution...either im stupid or you didn't refute evolution.

Ps darwinian evolution hasnt existed for over a century,he only laid the building blocks..If you read origin of the species you will see how modern science has taken his theory further and disproven a few of his suggestions.

Religion is faith

you can't prove either. Science is always upgrading its theories and every time it does you accept the new truth over the old theory. Contradictory

As for religion its based on faith and little evidence.

But... it boils down to this.

Evolution believes that the universe was created from a big bang, but doesn't bother stating where "nothing" originated from that created the big bang. If you prove everything other than the beginning, you still have no fact.

It's like me inventing a monster and telling you all the details about it and how it works and lives and describing all its powers. Everything im saying is true, but the fact is it originated from nothing and until i can prove where it came from, i have no theory at all. The big bang is a load of rubbish until they can further their knowledge on how to create matter from nothing. Its still not be done.

As for religion. Its a faith game. God won't prove himself to the likes of you and me, because then it wouldn't require faith to believe in him.

Both are difficult. Thats why this argument has lasted centuries. It won't get solved now.

The poster said evolution and Science... so yes i included big bang into his theory. Unless of course he is so intelligent he believes some scientists but then has his OWN theories on our origins of the universe. I doubt it though. So yeah Science - evolution - big bang theory. All included in Science when in debate with religion. I doubt even the poster would disagree with my point there.

I understand people want to voice their opinions, and many do so in a very intellectual interesting educational way. But to say you can prove religion false or true, is unrealistic. Same with alot of scientific theories. That's in fact why they are called theories.

People used to believe the earth was flat, and it was considered FACT. Then they discovered it was round and that was considered FACT... maybe in 20 years we will discover things we can't comprehend now. Like another couple of dimensions, and we will come to know that the earth is in fact 7D... and we will laugh at people who said it was 3D and round... who knows..

Well noob and co. Do believe in the a string "theory" to be true. It has just not been proven yet.

They also believe that cosmic radiation can produce life on earth.

They also believe that a big star with just enough mass,That had just the right speed and angle. Hit the earth at just the right time and created the Moon.
But that's just a scientific theory not yet been proven. It has just been simulated on a computer. But i guess that will have to do for now.

And scientists do believe a Big Bang will happened every 80 to 100 billion years. This is not yet proven so we have to wait and see. So far the universe is suppose to be expanding not retracting.
