besides me, who thinkd eddie van halen is/was overrated?

Sorry for the thread resurrection but I just figured out my stance on VH in a quarter century. Which is "M'eh". It was that most of the focus and air time was given to their inferior material. You'd hear:

Never much of a EVH guy, either. For virtuosity and speed, I always liked Alvin Lee (passed away in 2013). His "I'm Goin' Home" can be heard on the Woodstock recording and blows me away every time I hear it. I was fortunate enough to see 10 Years After perform live in 1970 (first concert) and he was incredible.

Now I'm probably into Joe Bonamassa as much as any living guitarist since Stevie Ray Vaughan died. Yikes! Almost 30 years ago. (!)
