I spoke too soon, a couple weeks after my previous post and I got the red rings. I sent a service request online and have had it couriered to it's location. It's been two days and they still haven't got it.

it takes 7-14 for them to receive it, fix, and then send it back
MS are cheap and they send out in bulk,

they take 2-4 days just to update recieved

but its less then 2 weeks before you get it back

also if its the second time or happens again
ask for compensation, (free game or accessery , controller and so on)

Yay! Here's hoping anyway, I'm starting to suffer withdrawal symptoms.
