Seriously? Have you no ability to discern that such statements are a direct insult to those who run and moderate the site. You're essentially parroting the lies and insults that accuse us all of being cheats and liars. Nothing caused you pause before you posted such insults?

Call the owners and moderators cheats and liars in a public form is "natural?"

Its what happens when you get a bunch of paranoid folks all together on a website; they think they might be getting set up.
So... you're a paranoid type who hasn't the manners to understand he's posting hateful insults?

I understand this is your website and you take pride in your baby but, you have to admit, the way the members react to the regular theory that ATS is a CIA front, with their usual wit and humor, can be entertaining at times.
Tedious. All the time.

Please don't take it personally
How can I not take it personally -- calling me and my friends cheats and liars. That's personal.

Well, looking at the date on this thread, I see that this nonsense didn't start yesterday !!

I never bought the idea that ATS is a CIA front, or government ops...it's just a baseless nonfactual never-ending story...Same with the "agents on the payroll"...

But the fact that ATS is the biggest conspiracy forum out there probably adds to the paranoia...and it's all it is. Baseless nonfactual paranoia.

I know that sometimes, when we describe the reasons for downtime, the technical jargon can be a bit over some people's heads.

We, in the industry, refer to what you saw as "humor."

www.abovetopsecret.com...

So let me get this strait; its funny when you make the joke but, when the members simply ask a few questions, its suddenly a huge insult to your integrity?

We're not questioning anyone's integrity when we ask these questions. Sometimes us paranoid lunatics just need a little reassurance that everyone is NOT out to get us.

Have you ever thought that the way you respond to these threads may actually be reinforcing the impression that you have something to hide?

Self-deprecating absurd humor. Yes.

I see very few questions. Mostly it's accusations not based on any facts.

We're not questioning anyone's integrity when we ask these questions.
Oh, so claiming I and our staff are in collusion with some nefarious government agency with ill-intent, despite all our reassurances otherwise, is NOT questioning the integrity of those who run/moderate ATS? What strange world of reverse-semantics are you from?

Have you ever thought that the way you respond to these threads may actually be reinforcing the impression that you have something to hide?
No method or style of response has ever resulted in any different conclusion. Since we're damned if we do, damned if we don't, damned if we're nice, damned if we're impatience, and damned if we're angry -- I've decided to express our deep-seated irritation head-on.

i did not mean to come accross so harshly, perhaps that could have happened because this is the internet and my motives and emotions are not as apparently along with what i say. i assure you i did not have the intentions you felt nor did i expect that response.

i just wanted to keep at least one 'is above top secret website a cia ( or freemason ) front?' thread open and join in the coversation myself.

Is Above Top Secret website a CIA front???

The Above Network has had ties to the Culinary Institute of America going back decades.

This is old news. Nothing new here.

I honestly believe that it is a good thing to be "able" to discuss the issue. Its just like the thread you guys are promoting all over the sight, you know, the one about, if we can't question authority then we live in a police state, that one. The idea of the site is to question and discuss everything. Why shouldn't we be able to discuss the site as well? Considering there are rumors around the net regarding the site, shouldn't we be aloud to learn and discern without the mods cracking down and belittling every little post?

you have to understand from skeptic overlords point of view, assuming he and ats are NOT cia or freemason fronts...

consider that ats or any conspiracy website didn't exist, and then that you have this idea where people everywhere, anyone with a computer, can post alternative things that the regular news media aren't covering, or topics that most people think are 'too grand' or 'out there' to consider as real - yet you yourself and others like you want to discuss... thus you need a place like ats

i can imagine that if a person saw the corrupt truth of the cia and the freemason control on this world, they would want to 'rebel' or fight the lies and bring about the 'truth' with a place like ats 'to start'...
if it were me who made this site in the pursuit of denying ignorance, seeking truth, spreading truth, and helping others find their own way ( and not the mass media's and marketed corrupt government's way ) i would be pretty happy with what i had done
and i too might respond in the manner than skeptic overlord had when confronted with accusations that it was him who actually was part of the cia/freemason/coverup agenda!

but i apolized to him, as that was not what i meant, i just considered that aall these threads discussing the subject were closed and this was the only one i found still open so i wanted to discuss the subject, it's a relevant subject to this site and i mean to not make accusations only to 'allow discussion'

When sitting on the fire hose you do notice the thougth police getting quite active at times. We do have the T&C thing taking a few of them out, but the last one by JimFetzer on '7 questions about 9/11' was quite a shock for a take down. He has been a good truther asking some great questions. Considering the sensitivity of this topic ATS has been doing a great job to even host some discussion about it.

As for CIA involvement I don't know and anything is possible, even shape shifting reptilians from Nubru on a plan of world domination (it is a crazy world). I know anyone involved with the media does have to think about the implications of what is published for the business, the readers and its place in society. With so many stories around with people getting bumped off for getting too close to the truth, even without a direct relationship to the CIA some indirect relationships with part of the American culture do exist.

ATS does not have the strength to take on the world so it needs to know its place if it wants to survive. The public's demand for the truth is not currently strong enough to take on the evil satanist bastards that are on a killing and plunder rampage. Maybe one day we can have conservations with Spock, Chewbarka, Eben and other other worldly entities about the worlds problems if ATS plays its cards right. Maybe TSHTF if it does not. There are some big complex, messy problems affecting the world and we are all caught up in it one way or another.

Communication is a personal matter for all involved. I do not know all the pressures and what it is like to be in SkepticOverlord's position, but I can see how getting drawn into debates like this is a frustrating process. People do need to rant and vent at times, even if no one is listening. A lot of dirt flows through these boards, but it is those few occasional diamonds that keeps me coming back.

It was a clear Terms & Conditions violation on a couple fronts: 1) full-content copy-and-paste from another source. 2) cross-posting from another source. 3) self-promotion of personal website. He's been advised to repost in a manner more compatible with the Terms & Conditions.

If we think for a moment that this site is not heavily monitored by the government, then we are sadly deluded. That much we at least should recognize. I have noticed lately that the internet also has been censored and regular searches of certain topics do not produce the results that they used to.

I think we are at the point where it is safe to assume that 'they' are monitoring everything that does not follow the agenda and the countless lies they are trying to continually brainwash the world into believing.
