Looks like perfect weather for the show and plenty to see and do. Hope your son enjoyed it. I So wanted to go to that one, but it just wasn't in the cards. Your photos are a good substitute. Did you catch any of the flyovers? If so, am curious to get your impression of the B2 and Su-31. Did they sneak in an F/A-22 fly-by? I heard a rumour that they were going to.

So, kramtronix, how long were you in the Navy? -just kidding! Just kidding!
You remind me of my family talking; they were Marine Corps all the way.

Many thanks for the photo tour.

Yeah we definitely had a good time out there. No doubt about that. I haven't been to and airshow since probably 1989 or so. My son loved it out there. I don't know if any of you are familiar with any Transformers, but he ran up to an F-18 yelling "Staaaaaarscreeeeaaaam!!" It was great! LOL

And no, I didn't see an F/A-22 fly over. I wouldn't have missed that. We got there at 8AM and left at 12:30 because my son was just worn out.

One really surprising thing they did though... Since Panchito dropped the atomic bomb, when it flew over, they detonated some very loud bomb-mimicing explosives on the runway. It caught everyone off guard.

And the high was like 74 degrees and windy as all get out!

Thanx Kramtronix!
Those pictures are awesome. I have never been to an airshow before and your photos made me feel like I was almost there. I just can't here the engines. Anyway, the 117 is my fave.

Yes, the 117 is no joke. The real personal kicker behind that shot, is that my father worked out of Hangar 4 for many years while stationed here at MacDill, so it was major cool to see that badass plane just chillin' in my dad's old work place.
