Man I got about ten fillings! We don't even get offered alternatives in the UK when we visit the dentist (if we can find one)...we have to ask, and then pay through the nose for the privelage..! Still, it's not like we didn't already know this, but at least the FDA are finally admitting the dangers of cramming a load of mercury into your mouth in the name of health...mercury is being banned over here in barometers but a child's mouth? No problem...

Good on the folk who brought this to bear...it's a small step on the surface, but this is a major trick being used to mess with everybody's equilibrii, if that's a word...it's things like this that give me hope that the whole pack of cards is a'fallin

I recently had 2 of my "silver" fillings removed and replaced with composites. I don't know how much of an impact they really have on health, but to admit that it can cause harm to a fetus is enough for me to say it must. Check out this video that is pretty freaky. I don't know if it's all BS or not, but worth checking out and deciding for yourself.

Now this is interesting.
All they have to do now is admit that the MMR shot is a cause for autism and other problems for kids and we would be straight.

Interesting this came out. I was talking to someone about these fillings a yesterday cause I went to the dentist. I noticed she had a crap load of these fillings in her mouth and told her she should get them redone.

Anyway at least they are admitting to 1 great fail of many things.

I heard it was the cause of one woman's manic-depression for years before a healer told her to remove her fillings and replace them with ceramic ones...I'm sure it affects us all in different ways but the effect on kids must be phenomenal compared to us adults...anyway, nice to see a bit of real justice seeing the light...!

The FDA webpage referred to was created in October of 2006 (saying "finally" is a bit misleading) and is quite informative about the process. It includes links to the minutes of the advisory panel meeting which rejected the original white paper report, the practices concerning mercury amalgams in other countries, and steps to be taken to address the criticism of the report.

I had problems with serious headaches from the time I was 9 till I was 19 and had ALL my fillings from when I first got them taken out. In one week I had no more headaches and it was wonderfull! Dr.s thought for years that I was susceptable to migrains and it was the damned fillings all those years.
