This is sort of a weird question but...

Let's say that we eventually stumble across a planet that inhabits creatures similar to Humans, yet they have no idea that we exist. We study them and find that they have religions too . Would your religious beliefs change?

What would make my religious beliefs change?

just saying that it might provide support for the theory that we created God because we cannot explain our existence....

I'm Wiccan, and the answer is "nope." The religions of another race from another planet wouldn't bug me a bit. I'd certainly want to learn about them, however.

You question is actually a good answer why governments are unable to disclosure any scientific proof for UFO, ET�s, magic, most of paranormal phenomenon�s not �explained� by Christian doctrine.

There is both practically and theoretically impossible to keep the Church business running with ET on the board.

Kronos the probability of life existing in what is known in the Universe is substantial and this is in relation to just life based on carbon. If you want to compare sizes it between the Earth and the rest of what we know of reality (at present). It cannot even be compared to a grain of sand in relation to this solar system.

The advantage we have at present is our location; our Galaxy exists in the fringes of what is called the Virgo Supercluster. An object shaped like our galaxy which has a circumference of 100 million light years (but still not a grain of sand when compared to the universe). You see we are not in the suburbs or in the boondocks we are literally out in the middle of nowhere.

You are presenting the idea that life from other worlds is a threat because of what potentially they might believe. And to be honest given our planet its very likely that the when we make first contact. The first thing that they will not say to us is "Oh you must be from Earth were Jesus came from"!!!!. And then bow down to us and start singing the lords prayer (something, which I place a value upon as well).

As far as the Pope is concerned Truth was kind enough to present similar sites of interest.

Its not proof to present the fact that our current Pope feels its important to accept other faiths as valid interpretations in there own right. Fact of the matter is Kronos 150 million Christians were killed in the past, but that only accounts for about 15% of those killed by the church and 3% of those abused to date.

I think separation of faith might cause many things. Some people will look upon the other world's religion as a new beginning or opening, while others will look upon it as just another religion. Then the radicals will look upon the religion (depending on teachings, i mean you dont see muslims bombing buddhist temples) as an enemy. And they will do what they see fit to get rid of it. Its all a matter of time, mind thought, and current political views. Lets cross that bridge when we get there.

Yes, I know. While they did destroy the buddhist statues, they didnt go around blowing up buddhist temples, killing the monks and such. Destruction of idols, yes, destruction oh buddhist human beings, no.

First I would love to learn about other religions especially alien ones. I think the best way to have faith is to believe in some thing but also to believe that keeping an open mind is the best way to believe. I must say that faith and belief are a good thing. What I consider fanaticism is the belief that all other are wrong (Especially if you believe that people who believe in other religious will go to Hell).

Truth If you do indeed believe in a creating god a loving god how can you not believe that he/she would want his love through the universe.

Do you mean to say that all popes before were god and this one is evil. Well if you do I must disagree. on a scale of popes our current pope is pretty good you know not being a killer who uses poison and has more then a few children, Or one who was a pirate, Or the one who ordered the crusades which cost the lives of thousands. Then why does the Bible say " I have other sheep not of this flock to attend to". To me that's a statement that says there is life on other planets and I would conclude they have the same kind of religion though not exactly the same...

If you think we are the only living planet in this infinite universe, you're crazy. There are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on every beach on Earth.

However, if you were to say the only living planet in this galaxy that would be different. And one more point... If we were the only planet to have God's gift of life, don't you think we would have all of his attention.
