Yes, it may have been covered before, but did you notice that it has been updated as of July 21st? I thought it was interesting that another person has come forward with similar photos.

My best guess is that the anomaly is a portion of a spider's web. The most prominent part of this anomaly could easily be a more concentrated clump of web along a single thread, as there appear to be gossamer threads coming from either end of the thicker section. The only branches visible in the picture are the very ends of a small portion of a tree--hardly an all-encompassing view. He also notes that the deer appears startled as the anomaly comes into view, but it would be a big stretch to assume that the deer's apparent look of surprise is due to something related to the object in question (it may very well have been another animal moving behind the camera, a bird or bat taking flight, etc.). I suspect that a branch near the camera moved with the wind or another animal's motion, and moved the web into the camera's view.
