Why settle for one day off when you can have three? Who needs one religion when you can believe in whatever you want whenever you want? Take the best from all of ‘em, or none at all, and make it work for you! Forget about everlasting damnation, original sin, millions of incarnations, 10,000 years in purgatory, holy retribution, pissed off angels, flaming badgers, and anything else religion throws at you!

Why not believe in Buddha at 5am but nothing at noon? Who cares about keeping the same religion for your whole life. It makes no difference at all. I know I believe in all sorts of nonsense, why should religion be any different? One minute I’m believing in beer and pizza and the next I’m ankles deep in the Manchurian Candidate. Can I really expect myself to hold a spiritual standard so high my entire life depends on it? How vain!

Here have a few days off on me. Check with your diety for availability in your area.

Friday

Thus "gathering day" is often regarded as the weekly day of rest, so the following day, Saturday, is often regarded as the first day of the work week yaum al-jumu`a يوم الجُمُعَة (gathering day - Friday)

Saturday

The Seventh-day Adventist (abbreviated "Adventist"[3]) Church is a Christian denomination which is distinguished mainly by its observance of Saturday,[4] the original seventh day of the Judeo-Christian week, as the Sabbath.

Sunday

There is a large body of civil legislation on the Sunday rest side by side with the ecclesiastical. It begins with an Edict of Constantine, the first Christian emperor, who forbade judges to sit and townspeople to work on Sunday. He made an exception in favour of agriculture.

Because your understanding is that of a childs, and what does a child do when it orders all the dishes from the menu?

Throws up and regrets it.

God cannot be all beliefs, because then he would be divided against himself, which means he would not be truth itself, which means he would contradict himself on dieties and would completely be aginst himself and divided against himself.

So one of them has to be right. But God reveals this to the searcher and knows whos heart is searching.

peace.

The title of this post reminded me of a pamphlet I picked up at a church back in April. I had noticed the familiar logo sticking out of a plastic pocket on the wall while sitting down in the cold hallway. I was there for mandatory state testing and had no other choice for location.

there once was a ¨prophet¨ named CNN. CNN felt it was his duty to warn the populous of florida of a coming storm. so they broadcasted and broadcasted.

but the people did not believe the prophet, some questioned his motives saying he was scaremongering. some attacked his character and said that CNN was coporate owned and therefore could not be trust. still others looked out to see and saw no storm and ignored the CNN.

some agreed, but felt that the storm wasnt as bad as CNN was making it out to be. some felt that CNN was misinterpreting the data. some felt that there was no need to leave.

then the storm came and washed everyone away, except ofcourse those who heeded the warning.

if god does exist, then religion is not a game. its not an a la carte special. religion isnt just about ¨what works for you¨. its worship.

well, if thats your definition of religion, then yes it wouldnt matter.

JesusisTruth:

Couldn't have said it better myself. Some people just do not want to see and their hearts are hardened to the true word of the true God.

Peace,
