Recently there has been an increasing amount of demonstrations against government worldwide, it seems. Like the factory sit-in, the airport sit-in in Thailand, the riots in Athens, the recent demonstrations in Iceland and probably more that we haven't heard about or that I can't think of right now.

Am I reading too much into this or is this a signal of what is to come? Should we take a lesson from these people, especially those in Thailand and Illinois? It seems like tensions are building and that people are beginning to realize that they should be fighting back. And all this in light of the reports that we've brought 20,000 troops home to carry out operations here makes me take a step back and look at the big picture and see how all these events are somewhat connected...

Or maybe I'm just paranoid..

- Athens is a sign from coming troubled times in Europe... What fuses the riots, is usually not the cause of riots. Now we have seen news, that yes, maybe... There is whole another reason for unrest in Creece, than just a rioting because of boy who gets himself shot... But why was he rioting at first place? Why do we see banks get most of the strikes?

- I was just witnessing demonstrations in Thailand airports, and they really were fighting against bankers over there. Thaksin is one of those, which makes people suffer in their debts... Its widely known at least where I am living in Middle Thailand. And yes, peoples win that battle against bankers!

Now I am just waiting what will fuse riots in USA, which will be most difficult to ease... When something happen in US, its always a big one.

We should stand and unite against "banksters" all around the world, now!

I agree with you completely about the banks. People must be starting to see that the banks are the real problem in our society as a whole. Money breeds corruption and the banks are the most corrupt institution IMO. I hope these demonstrations continue and more people join the fight.

Edit: spelling
