What would Gore have done?

Of ourse 9/11 would not have happened under President Gore. Here's WHY!

Also, getting back to that fecal nugget hoisted on the thread, a simple question: " If Gore was owned by the airline lobby, who was the president who gave the airlines $22 BILLION DOLLARS[/B] On Sept. 22, 2001!? And which president's brother, named Neil, runs a security company that handles airport security, amongst other things!?
Honestly, there is no reason to support the Bush Crime family. There are good Republicans out there....just not in this administration. Geez, they've even tainted Maureen Matlin for Christ's sake!

Maybe not a popular view but...

I don't believe our response to the attacks in Afghanistan would have been any different regardless of who was in office. Once the attack occured and we saw the Taliban response, as well as Al Queada it gave us a clear enemy as well as a well justified reason to make a change.

We are looking back with entirely too much information today. It makes it seem that we should/could have done more, I don't think so, at least not at that time.

Gore/McCain/Bush, what choice did they have? American demanded a response, it would have occured.

Now with that said, only Bush would have gone to Iraq. I think that is pretty clear. History will tell us if that was a good move or not, long term. I think Gore would have focused more on N. Korea and Iran, as I wish this president would.

If we take, for arguments sake, that 9/11 occurred on President Gore's watch:

- The unarmed predator drones would have been armed. Since they were locked onto Osama, & Bush stopped their flights in Jan of 2001, Osama would have been targeted for death.
- Gore would have attacked Afganistan to root out the rest of the Al Qeda influence into the Taliban, as well as killing enough of the Taliban hierarchy to create a power shift.
- A boarder lock down would have occured with our new Pakistani friend Musharaff, thus targeting the logical exit routes out of Afganistian for the above
- The Saudis never would have left the US on 9/12 - all accountability by Saudis would have been fully vetted
- Due to the larger US presence in Afganistan & the revamp of Taliban power, the Opium trade would have stayed decimated.
- No Iraq invasion, but a likely covert op take outs of all known or suspected cells globally......the US would fuctionally be acting like the Mossad on steroids.

Gore wouldn't of had to do anything. If he was in office I doubt we would of been attacked. These People hate Bush Why the hell do you think they call him a crusader!!!! Cause his lineage can be dated back to the crusaders

I think that if we ever had a President Gore, we would have seen most defenses disabled by the time of the attacks, and it would be an excuse to immediatly raise oil prices--putting it at 2 dollars a year-and-a-half ago. The mony raised to fix the mess would have went in hs back pocket. All the attacks would have succeeded. The Curds in the North of Iraq would all be dead by now--funded mostly from the funding skimmed by Gore. Every gun would be takn from the populace and most of the "intellectuals" would be dead in a mass execution--as is what eventually happens when you take away the right to bear arms. This site, would lose most of it's supporters as the "inventor of the internet" finds a way to shut down his baby. Oh, and Martial Law would be declared--there would BE no more elections for the man to "lose." Not to forget his promise to make Combustible engines illegal--btw, hybreds are still combustible--the rod-and-piston structure is what makes them combustible...

Why do I think this? Bcause he's a Democrat, aka, Demoralist in office who doesn't believe that the masses can remotely run themseles and believe that "Big Brother" should be there.
