essure is a coil that looks like a spring. it is inserted into the fallopian tubes and the tissue grows around it to close the tubes. It takes 10 minutes to insert and you do not have to be put to sleep as you would for a hysterectomy. also costs less if you get it done in office, some practices do that. ask your Gyn for more info. hope this helps..

I think I can *imagine* what you mean. There might be some real wisdom in what she meant, though, is what I meant. I mean, I know that I don't know everything about womanhood even though I am intimately close with it by my own nature.

yes, I gathered that much from the link, do you know what it is made of? ie: is it a plastic coil, a copper coil, a gold coil, a fabric coil... ? A ceramic coil? Titanium?

I'm trying to fathom the substance we are using to make it.
