This is commercially available now - The French have it and are apparently applying it vigorously to all manner of three dimensional object.

There have to be some more sophisticated versions of this tech capable of projecting onto cloud cover or mist.

If there isn't a cataclysm due to the nwo and all that is 2012, then the future is looking cool... at least in terms of street lights.
