Project Condign

Hello all im new here and just starting to get into the site can anyone tell me or give me more info on Project Condign
I have read a little on it and know that is to do with The British Government i read some on this on another site but would like to know more about it.

Project Condign was the name given to a top-secret UFO study undertaken by the British Government's Defence Intelligence Staff (DIS) between 1997 and 2000.

The results of Project Condign were compiled into a 400-page document titled Unidentified Aerial Phenomena in the UK that drew on approximately 10,000 sightings and reports that had been gathered by Defence Intelligence (DI55). It was released into the public domain on 15 May 2006 after a September 2005 Freedom of Information Act request by UFO researchers Dr David Clarke, a lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, and Gary Anthony, a former BUFORA astronomical consultant. The identity of the report's author/s was not made public.

I posted a lengthy article (about 25 pages long) about Project Condign on a UFO discussion List shortly prior to its public release. Unfortunately, the archives of that discussion List are not open to the public without payment.

Given that there have now been at least 3 threads started on Project Condign on ATS in the last week or so, perhaps I should repost that entire article here so that it is available to the public free of charge.

Unfortunately, as for most Ufological info (or any subject where you suspect reality may diverge from the official truth), you really need to read the original material, all of it, rather than a 3 paragraph summary in BBC or Wikipedia.

FWIW I read it 1.5 year ago and although I don't remember all the details, in my opinion it was a whitewash i.e. a sham.

First of all, the author(s) is/are anonymous. I'm suprised they couldn't find someone to sign this bogus material.

Browsing through pages upon pages of "filler" material of little value, the conclusion was that in their opinion UFOs (UAP / UAL) are ... plasma (ionized gas). According to CONDIGN report, such plasmas can even arrange themselves in geometric formation, e.g. a triangle (in fact they use the photographic example from Belgium 1990 triangle)

Among the conclusions was that UFOs can pose a danger to navigation, but pilots shouldn't maneuver to avoid collision with UAPs or try to chase them, because UAPs being gaseus masses will always be able to move faster.

One might say that one can "read between the lines", however my conclusion when I read CONDIGN report was ... pure bunk.
