yeah i have lots of subjects i like to get into and i really spend more time reading than debating lolz.

I totally understand that one! LOL!

ok so the information was interesting but it didnt acknowledge Mary, Mother of God just the name Mary. And the references to God being Jesus sounds like they are describing who Jesus is representing not that he is ACTUALLY God. I thought you had something saying God is Jesus and Jesus is God or something to that effect.

Well, there is a lot more info on the other thread but you said it was too large to read the entire thing (and I don't blame you lol) so those were excerpts. There's much more. I also explain it all using commentaries. Then there are literally volumes of work on ECW so when the site comes back up, I would check it out.

and why do people pick on the Jews so much? If anything they were the ones that believed in God and followed the Old Testament far longer than others.

I don't know but it pisses me off. lol My 'faith-based' answer is that it is a spiritual battle due to the fact the Jews are God's covenant people so there is spiritual enmity there.

Merry Christmas.

I learned alot of things in the bible outside the bible. It is not as illogical and such as one may think, it's more about how it is perceived.

If you take a look at the story of Jesus for example, he was against the same people you call evil. He called the evil as well, children of Satan. They were called the pharisees.

Pharisee
1. A member of an ancient Jewish sect that emphasized strict interpretation and observance of the Mosaic law in both its oral and written form.
2. A hypocritically self-righteous person.

Today they call themselves Christians, but they still carry that strict interpretation that makes them hypocrites.

Jesus had to come to the earth to "fulfill" the law, meaning he had to bring understanding of the law. And he lived his life as an example for people to follow. And by following his example, you can be saved.

Important to note - the church is of the pharisees. Jesus told his disciples to not do the things the church has done. The church doesn't tell people to really walk the path, they just say believe.

The church uses symbolism and deception to mislead people to do things that are opposite. They only look at the sin of those they persecute and don't realize they sin in doing so(hypocrites).

The bible is for understanding, not just for memory.

well, perhaps not killing innocent because of witchery, but i am unsure about atheist not starting war. i've seen communist regimes starting wars and killing innocents, yet comminusts are atheists.

so dont take it literally? but isnt that how your supposed to take it? so the 10 conmandments aren't made to be taken literally? what about the whole story of being a god? wont take that literally either?

no it isn't supposed (well of course many representative of various churches tell that they must be taken literally, but they are lost in their own illusions) to be taken literally, just as many other religious and occult texts are not made to be taken literally. you see, many authors of those texts believed that it is not good if the ignorant masses will know the secrets of faith, yet they had need to communicate with each others and therefore used coded texts and allegorical meanings to do so, yet masses remained unsure about the meaning of the texts.

...but, i wrote this to give a hint to go right direction if there's will, i am not here to debate because i have no interest at all to do so because i don't want to violate the commandment: "thou shalt not steal".

Why cant i criticise it? religious people constantly criticise atheists but is that ok? at least i'm not violent about my convictions.

if people want to believe thats fine but if lies are told then i will expose them.

ok, you can critizize it all you want, i rather meant that you shouldn't, because it can be like a plummer would critizize dentist in his work.

can't you really see the problem? as atheist (suppose that i am one for a while), i could say that there is no god and everyone claiming so is lying, yet i base my claim to my own 'truth' that there indeed is no god to my opinion. but do i really know? how can i say that god is a lie and my atheism is true? i cannot.

i am sorry that you got the impression that i want to impose my truth to ohters and deny that very same capability from them instead, for i am not. you can talk all you want, be my guest

fyi, i've been an believer, an agnostic and atheist in various chapters of my life, yet i have found a stone so solid that i cannot anymore dismiss the existence of god. i also once used to make claims like: "can god create stone so heavy which he cannot lift." and others alike. but these indeed are irrelevant for me now. cheers and be well!

The problem with todays interpretation of the Bible is that we've made God into a western god and put him in our modern box of what is right and wrong. If God is really God then he can do whatever he wants. Its not like he's the elected God, who has to answer to us as would a President. He's the creator God that can drown his creation if it makes him happy or send a person to hell for whatever reason. He doesn't answer to us or have to explain his actions. If he does explain or make himself known then its just gravy. Where does it say that everyone gets a chance to be "saved"? The Bible actually speaks of God choosing who will be saved and condemned.

I agree the church has perverted the bible and has made a false god using misinterpretations out of the bible. The church doesnt want to offend anyone in case they lose their collection money so they tell everyone what they want to hear. but the problem is when you really study the doctrine they've put forward to appease the public, it all falls apart as illogical.

You have to read the bible for yourself and question things but you also don't throw out the baby with the bath water. Just because someone lied to you doesn't mean you abandon the whole system. If it did all Americans would have to give up their citizenship.

Peace

Holy Geez.

What type of traumatic event did you suffer as a child?

I understand why you would be anti-religion, but why are you so angry with God?

The two are mutually exclusive.
