Roswell/Corona Crash Questions

I am new here so I am sorry if this has been discuseed before. I was looking at Google Earth at the possible UFO crash sites at Roswell or Corona, whichever is correct, and saw how close they are to The White Sands Proving Ground to the South West.

Could the crash be attributed to US Space Programs in the late 1940's from there or might a UFO have crashed while scouting out the White Sands base after Nuclear test were set off there? Any ideas or discussion on that?

I also noticed a mile long airstip and some sort of guarded base just south of one of the purported crash sites. Go here: 33 55 11.86N 105 19 43.26W on Google Earth. Anyone know what this base is?

Lastly, and I am a believer in UFO's but just not knowing what they are, is it just me or why has there been so many reports of UFO's crashing? If they are so advanced, it just seems odd that they would crash in such large numbers thru the years.

According to Michael Wolf, a former US govt scientist who worked at S4, Rosewell crash was an UFO and the US govt then established contacts with the aliens.
