Cystic fibrosis not 'inclusive' enough for Carleton University students

OTTAWA - The Carleton University Students' Association has voted to drop a cystic fibrosis charity as the beneficiary of its annual Shinearama fundraiser, supporting a motion that argued the disease is not "inclusive" enough.
Cystic fibrosis "has been recently revealed to only affect white people, and primarily men" said the motion read Monday night to student councillors, who voted almost unanimously in favour of it.

Well, well, well - "diversity" strikes again!

But I thought "race" was just a social construct created by "the (white) Man" to "keep people of colour" down? And I hope they don't fundraise for sickle-cell anemia - don't want to be hypocrites and all!

But don't worry whites - there's more legislation coming out to prevent 'hate crimes' against "African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Jews and gays"!

There've even got a nifty clause to protect us from the wascally wacists and their right to free speech (even when they aren't denigrating people based on race!):

Need for new legislation, the panelists agreed, stems in part from the fact that local officials may be the very figures encouraging hate crimes; for example, speaking out against those perceived as taking jobs or using or abusing services -a major argument in the ongoing debate over immigration.

(*Cut*)

Media hate-mongers such as Fox News host Bill O'Reilly and CNN's Lou Dobbs, and a rise in Internet-based sites promoting hate, also play a key role in spurring individuals to commit racially or ethnically motivated crimes, according to the speakers.

Doesn't it make you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
