ah, but if you truly thought we were all one, then you would feel like me, because you would be a part of me (or rather part of the same thing "one" I am part of), and so would the feeling.

How 'bout that for philosophy.

I do not mean to sound bad, but i sometimes would rather not be associated with other humans, and saying i am like them.

Does no one else feel that too?

Jeez, the list would go on forever -- Hitler, Stalin, Bush (both), Clintons (both), Reagan, Kissinger, Nixon and all the mindless little halfwits that served these mental midgets. To be evil in a class of your own, you have to be a Bush or a Kissinger.

And of course, all the other mental midgets that think perpetual war is a normal state of being.......

So then we are alone.

Not making sense usually involves not understanding.

I know there is much contraversy around who Jesus was. But i assure you there is more evidence through OT prophecy and apostolic testamony that jesus died and rose again then tiny people living in tiny universes in our fractal body. You can dismiss the evidence of jesus as the messiah if you dont believe in bible prophecy or sin or whatever but at least there is evidence to debate over.
tiny people living in tiny universes

'tiny people living in tiny universes' What?

Who said any thing about 'tiny people' ?
I don't consider a Human Being anything other than A Human Being. A microbe is a microbe. Not a tiny little person.

Perhaps the key remains that we are now 3rd dimensional human entities, having been seperated from unity. Perhaps we are ultimately one, but this clearly is not the case in this time/space. It makes sense to me that if we have a 3rd dimensional existance by which to live, then we are meant to live it as seperated from unity. There must be a reason for the seperation and clearly one of those reasons must surely be in the lessons learned or experiences gained in the rather intenseness of living a 3rd dimensional existance.

All of us have some inner call or knowlege of something bigger outside of self by which we belong. It was always there, a knowing. Conditioning and culture, religions, and bias is what takes that truth and sometimes changes it to an unfamiliarity or doubt. The truth though, is that each of us will recognize self and in that reality we can not condition away God/intelligent Energy/Self. Logic has little if anything to do with spirit, body mind and soul all completely different, yet still part of one .

There are both positive and negative but both make up the whole. It is important to understand that with out one , there could not exist the other. Both are valid, both are important, and indeed both are what makes the whole. When we understand that it is both important and necessary to simply experience both polarities in life, draw from each experience all possible light, love, and understanding gained from the experience, then and only then can we truley be free to be who we have been created to be ... To evolve, is to learn to accept ourselves and that means our flaws or mistakes in judgement so that our experiences can enrich, teach, and enable our understandings and compassions of LOVE!

I am not you and you are not me.... not here, in this tiime space.... however, it is likely we are one social memory complex when you remove the confinds of tiime/space, because as you know ... we are made from the same materials, each having been created from the beginning of time. The act of observing, creates a new wave of potentials, but the potentials are still very much all still possible. If a star and a human contain the same materials created at the moment of our universe, it seems elementary to me that we share an energy. The energy is intelligent, and infinite and to me ... it just cannot make more sense than God himself in all of us.

Imagine what other dimensions are able to see, especially if they were not under a bipolar existance, or if they were free from the constraints of time and space. In the later for example, we would see the past present and future, all in an instant. Helps to understand being the Alpha and the Omega doesn't it!!

Life on earth is meant to experience every desire that we as indioviduals desire. Obviously, that does not mean that all desires need to be experiences physically. Indeed some desires should most certainly be experienced in the fantasy of the mind. hehe. Unique opportunity to learn and grasp concepts of love can be gained during this time here. I think it would be best served, embracing all we are, and learning how to love through every experience possible. We are dealing everyday with a seperation from unity, a world full of both positive and negative polarities, service to self and service to others. Life is difficult and hard under those conditions. Therefore, trying to overcome desires or pretending away a human condition or reaction/emotion is simply foolish.

Experience is the uniquely wonderful teaching catalyst of our time/space reality. Go experience and draw all that you can from reflection of it. The key is in how much we are able to love in EVERY experience. To look at things and behavior of other peoples with a much more understanding eye, based on our own experiences and behavior. Learnig first to accept that negative is just as valid as positive.

star and flag for having balls/being brave!!

This is a predicament in my head as we speak. Indeed, to shut yourself off from suffering and meditate your way to enlightenment is something the buddhists propose but I always think to myself, hold on, I will be missing out on soo much not to mention all of the people I will not be able to help.

So I suppose the question is this. How do we reach enlightenment? Is it through actions on this plane or mental endeavours that will make us reach another?

Who knows? All I know is that love is the strongest and most honorable thing i have ever experienced with the power to overcome all. If we were all to realise this and come down from our ivory towers we would change the world.

I have been reading this thread as I am currently doing study on the subject as it relates to the bible as I am curious. I have found in my recent research that the majority of those who believe against the "we are all one" concept mention individuality, personal responsibility, and personality etc. As their main reasons to be against the concept. I find that a bit odd as it relates to the bible at least considering that in corinthians there is mention of us all being "one in the body of Christ" in that text it says something to the effect of "if one part suffers, all parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad" if we go further in the bible and read ecclesiastes there is mention that what is has always been and will always be and we cannot change it or improve it. Ecclesiastes goes on about vanity and ego and tells us to consider god and the greater good in all we do. Why is that? I personally believe it is because we are all one in the body of Christ or whatever God Universe energy or whatever term fits. Bad can be explained simply by considering the fact that all we do has not been with that concept in consideration but have instead fought it for fear of losing our individuality and personal responsibility. If you read ecclesiastes you will see that "the teacher" talks about individuality being ok as long as the focus is on benefit to God and the whole. So with this in mind I say we are all one and we can still be individuals just like the members of a basketball team can all be "the tigers" or whatever without losing who they are as individuals. The point guard is not lost within the team he is the team just as the post guy is the post and the team at the same time.
