Wow. That was wierd. Blanked out just as they were announcing what they were expecting for 2012. and then went on to dismiss it like it was just a religious cult type event.

What has me curious tho is the fact that the youtube poster just happened to be videoing the tv when this announcement was made instead of just recording it in the conventional way.

As it approaches 2012 is bound to get more publicity with all the events due to occur, but something just doesn't sit right with me on this one...

The Dutch as a people aren't preparing for anything. I live in Belgium and just did a pretty extensive search in Dutch newspapers. There was a story (and we've had a similar story in Belgium) that 'thousands of Dutch' were preparing for an apocalyptic event. Measures taken ranged from stockpiling water and basic supplies, but I know of at least one group that is planning to run for the hills (quite literally). However, it is a marginal phenomenon and most people would not know what is supposed to happen in 2012 if you asked them, besides the Olympics.

Nevertheless, the video seems to suffer from a technical glitch, rather than a cover-up. I obviously could be wrong, in which case the believers will probably mock me drowning/burning/being anally probed by aliens, while they shelter from the apocalypse in the comfort of their cold, humid cave.
