Why call it a Democracy or a Republic when clearly it isn't

What is a Government?
Wiki say's it's this

"A government is "the organization, that is the governing authority of a political unit,"[1] "the ruling power in a political society,"[2] and the apparatus through which a governing body functions and exercises authority.[3] "Government, with the authority to make laws, to adjudicate disputes, and to issue administrative decisions, and with a monopoly of authorized force where it fails to persuade, is an indispensable means, proximately, to the peace of communal life."[4] "A compulsory territorial monopolist of protection and jurisdiction equipped with the power to tax without unanimous consent."[5] Statist theorists maintain that the necessity of government derives from the fact that the people need to live in communities, yet personal autonomy must be constrained in these communities."

Why is it that those we elect never seem to follow through on our wishes?
Why is it that those we elect never seem to end up in jail for the crimes they commit?
Why is it that those we elect to represent our wants never seem to vote that way?

I would very much like to debate this.

Why is it that those we elect never seem to follow through on our wishes?
- Because people want no taxes and free stuff.. aint happening.

Why is it that those we elect never seem to end up in jail for the crimes they commit?
- People who are found guilty of crimes are sentenced are they not? I dont know what you mean here.. but i know that surtain people have protections that dont make THEM directly responsible for bad stuff they have to allow.

Why is it that those we elect to represent our wants never seem to vote that way?
- Most people aound here HAVE to do what they say they are for.. or else they dont get re-elected. dont know how things are at your place.

I disagree.
Taxes are never spent on what they are supposed to be spent on.

I disagree.
You telling me dick cheney is a law abiding citizen?

Is it me? is my view of the world completely wrong? Does nobody else see what is going on here?

We started as a Republic, but, as Franklin told the woman in Philadelphia after they signed the Constitution who asked her what they had done, he replied "we have given you a Republic, IF you can keep it".

America is a Kleptocracy, this is where the people in government steal everything of the peoples and give it to themselves and or their friends or corporations. One may argue Plutocracy and could make some valid points about it. Think this country aint a Kleptocracy, tell me where 800 Billion dollars went to a few weeks ago. Tell me where in the federal Constitution the government has the Authority to do what they have done...

I'm not theindependantjournal...

but I'd like to answer this as well.

The best type of governance would be self-governance.
More specifically, exactly the way the founders of the United States intended. It was going pretty well until people started messing it up.

I personally think the system would have worked fine if there were term limits on ALL public offices.

Also, if you get so much as one single speeding ticket, you should be barred from the law-making process.

You are 100% correct on this.

The federal reserve in 1913 was created thru lies.

The federal reserve bank is not part of the government,
it is part of the kleptocracy.

They moved in secret to Jekyll Island to create it because they
knew that if some ppl heard of it, they'd be killed.

The secret founding of the Federal Reserve Bank

Permit me to issue and control the money of the nation and I care not who makes its laws.

— Mayer Amsched Rothchild, a prominent European banker in the eighteenth century

JFK was killed for many reasons, but I think he was killed by
those in power because he planned to disrupt their money making
schemes and they would likely be investigated.

Sit down and watch the Oliver Stone film JFK, and you will see
it all laid out for you in clear details.

Still to this day we cannot see certain pieces of evidence and
papers over 40 years after his death.

I do not see the government being "fixed" as too many corrupt
ppl have too much invested in status quo.

It will have to be over thrown and I hope that they find all the
puppet masters in the background and immortalize them
for all time in a graphic and public execution much like Antionette.

This of course is not what will happen, we will slide toward
Huxley's, Orwell's, and Ayn Rand's predicted future and a
country that the founding fathers would barely recognize.

The Bilderbergers and Bohemian Grovers have dark plans
for most of us.

Thus why I have said I will be bugging out when the Schumer
Hits the Fan, and will be in a remote sparsely populated are
with some good friends and we will watch the tempest from
a distance and go underground when it is time.

Check the shelf life of foods at survival acres, you can get a
lot of it cheap at the mill in bulk.

Keep in mind that shelf life goes up with cooler temp if buried.

If you want my Evac list send me a u2u.

Good Luck to you all !

I had the priviledge of spending a couple of days on Jekyll Island a few years ago. I remember I sat on the beach in the moonlight for several hours thinking of the evil those men designed there.

Too bad a tidal wave didn't destroy them all.

Listen, the WORLD isnt like this.... only surtain people. But then again.. who are those in power.. powerhungry people? Who wants power and control? Or let me say it like this:

How many GOOD, HELPFUL, NICE, PERFECT, GIVING etc, people wants power? And furthermore, what will GOOD people do to remove others in power? (Opponents) So what are we left with? Probably not extremely many good people in power..

But there are places outside USA that tries to have a systemwhere you HAVE to do GOOD, or at least please the many to keep your position. Heck, i know a few places where people acctually WANTS to be good to others from a position of power. So what do i know?

Why is it that those we elect never seem to follow through on our wishes?

Because unlike the French we never barged into the white house and threw a president from the second story window.

Why is it that those we elect never seem to end up in jail for the crimes they commit?

Unlike the English we never dragged one out into the crowds and took off their heads.

Why is it that those we elect to represent our wants never seem to vote that way?

Because unlike our forefathers we lack the will and desire to force change through action.

I would very much like to debate this.

We are complacent, docile, freeloading cowards without the backbone to do more then blog on the internet from the safety of anonymity and secrecy. Where our ancestors demand change through action, we voice our concerns in ever waning crowds just to be waved off with the wave of a hand. Because we fear more then anything else a disruption from the norm, any discontinuity of peaceful ignorance that we have grown to love...

There is no debating this. Only facts.
