UK;The Ministry of Defence has released footage of an intense two-day battle

news.bbc.co.uk

The Ministry of Defence has released footage of an intense two-day battle in which the first Gurkha to die in Afghanistan lost his life.

Rifleman Yubraj Rai, 28, was killed on 4 November when his patrol was attacked in Helmand province.

The images show his unit in battle south of the key town of Musa Qala, once under Taleban control. He had volunteered for the operation.

I a so sorry that a solder died in this battle

The footage shows an Apache gunship and Warrior armoured vehicles at hand to offer fire support.

It is good quality video that brings reality home yet again. When will it end and all these guys come home.

I don't particularly like these videos I can’t find myself disconnected as you would perhaps like a UFO clip but I think we need reminding once in a while – I guess the Ministry of Defence thought so too.
