Reach peace deal with Syria, attack Iran: Israeli army

Israel's defence establishment in a recommendation paper to be presented to the Cabinet has asked it to make contingency plans to attack Iran, reach a peace agreement with Syria and prevent polls in the Palestinian areas even if Tel Aviv has to confront with the US.

The paper will be presented to the Cabinet next month as part of the National Security More..Council's annual situation assessment, daily 'Ha'aretz' reported on Sunday.

The paper warns that Israel may find itself facing a nuclear Iran virtually alone in 2009 following a rapprochement between Washington, Tehran and the Arab world that would also undermine the Jewish state’s military superiority.

I don't know if the U.S will be part of the initial preemptive strike...
But it won't let Israel go it alone.

I don't think an Israeli 100 fighter jet attack would "dismember" their Nuclear Facilities...

But it sure as hell would set them back 5+ years, for sure.

I'm just worried what Russia would have to say about all of this...

Everybody hold onto your seats! We will hear Bush reiterate what he stated years ago "no one understands the threats we face!"

This will all be the death of us all, all this preempitve hooey that always makes sure, in all, to not ever stop!

If the Israelis want to attack Iran, it's pretty clear at this point that they'll be doing it by themselves.

Personally I think they keep floating the idea as a psywar tactic and have no intention of attacking Iran either.

As far as ignoring US pressure regarding the Palestinians, Israel really can't afford to.

They are far too dependent strategically on the US and they know it.

It's why they lobby our .gov so hard...
