I think that people in the government don't want us to think right now. They don't want to think us about what the real cause of the bailout is. They want us to think that if we gave these corrupt companies more money that they would do better once again. Their obvious manipulation of the mass media and the internet indicates that they have some kind of agenda to get certain kinds of groups really upset. I think that the government is trying to create some kind of racial and gender and religious discrimination among all kinds of groups with different beliefs and they are doing this intentionally by spreading propaganda about anyone and everyone in the federal government. I think the Government is responsible for at least starting some of the disinfo around the net and they're trying to increase the amount of hysteria all of us feel as a result of their attacks.

Sure they are...

For example all SSL is processable for NSA with the echelon network.

This is not about what we think anymore but about what we know.

yeah. Of course. Cheap, easy. Create a few interesting lies, dilute the truth that gets out by heaping it with # until few can tell the truth from the lie. You'd only need a few people to do it. You just craft the right stuff, hand it off to the right set of "real" people and crazies, then feed them a bit more every now and then.

If you had information you needed to control, or information you didn't want seen (but live in an age where any information can be anywhere) wouldn't YOU do this?

By the way, LOVE your cat!! Dogs I have nothing against but often they make me feel uncomfortable because they suck-up to the pack leader, the owner. Even as a very young child that made me very uncomfortable. Cats will let you know if they like you, and they let you know if they want you to @#$%^$4 off.

To me all animals are a gift from God, (even spiders, which I DO NOT LIKE) They are not our personal play things to massage our limited egos.

When you discover that Scientology has an entire department dedicated to locating, destroying and propagating specific info on the internet, you can hardly be surprised that the US Gov't would have the same goals and ambitions.

I mean, come on. It's pretty obvious that if they have unlimited resources for black projects, secret bases and international intelligence networks, the manipulation of information on the internet is such an easy task to perform.

How much of it is relevant is up to debate. What can be gained from any specific manipulation would be the deciding factor.

I just don't see the benefit of them currently trying to censor anything. But giving disinformation in order to discredit something is more likely.

Still, interesting discussion to have out in the open.

Unless you're secretly trying to distract us from the truth elsewhere!

The NSA has Cray super computers measured by acreage. What do you really think they do with all those computers, play online games?

Read about Project Echelon and little sister Project Carnivore. Just a couple of examples.
