Sonic Boom as a weapon?

The CIA and the US govt purportedly have a new weapon in their armor. It is called as a sonic boom. This is essentially involves a very powerful sound waves that are specifically directed towards a target. These sound waves are sent through the satellite. It is very helpful for example in stunning enemy soldiers in the battle field.

Any one heard of this before or has more info?
