Moving a haunted house.

Hello all, long time lurker here, decided to register so I could ask a rather strange question.

I myself am an avid watcher of The discovery channel here in Canada, and recently watched. A show called "Monster Moves" where they actually move whole houses.

In the show I was watching they mentioned that one of the buildings they were moving was supposedly haunted.

I was wondering, since it seem that in what read, At least in certain cases. Most haunting experts seem to theorize that hauntings are tied to a location. So if you had a location specific haunting. Would it not be possible to move the building, from that location to another.

And if so would this alleviate the haunting. Now I know that that some haunting are actually entities, or psychic leftovers from some previous happening. And sometimes even just a flowering teen with psychic abilities.
as well as others that I could spend all day listing.

I know a strange and unique thought. So let me hear your thoughts.

well it seems you answered your own question.

it depends if the house or the ground it was build on is haunted.

As I understand it, a residual haunting would likely be bound by location. An intelligent haunt would likely stay with the house. A troubled or emotionally involved teen induced issue such as poltergeist would follow the person. It depends on what type of haunt and of course if it is really haunted which is an entirely different discussion.

Haunted houses / places can be 'possed' by different kind of energies.

Earthbound energies normally ' feed ' off energies of material things, like houses and all that what can be found IN a house / place.
These energies are mostly 'individual' energies or a cluster of several ' individual' enrgies.

Natural energies normally 'live / manifest' on/in 'open air' places or places that were 'open' before any modern buildings were built on a certain spot.
They keep an attachment with their 'place' / spot. That's often so with ' memories' of energies from massive battle, they stay bound to a certain area.
